I ordered $75.00 worth of food for a workplace lunch during the week of August 7th through Uber Eats, plus all of the extra fees and delivery tip that i paid it came out to be almost $94.00. I have ordered from them before so not sure what happened but this time about half of the order was either completely inedible or missing. More specifically, the chicken Tikka masal probably had about 5 dice sized pieces chicken in it and had about 1 inch of oil swimming on top; there was so much oil that the cream gravy was separated. It was completely inedand we threw it in the trash. The grandma's chicken special curry dish was also inedible and we threw both of those entrees into thr trash. Again, the cream sauce and mostly chicken bones and broken off pieces of chicken bones were incredibly oily, not quite 1 inch of oil on top, more like 1/3 of an inch of oil swimming on top, but in addition to this most of the chicken meat that was supposed to be there wasn't. It was about 75% chicken bones and broken off pieces of chicken bones that we had to spit out. There was not one sliver or small piece of pepper or onion in either the chicken Tikka Masala or the Grandma's chicken curry special. On top of this, the restaurant forgot to include the $3.00 mint chutney that we paid for. In all of our years of purchasing lunch while at work, this was the first time that we threw away entire entrees because they simply could not be eaten. We have ordered food from here previously so I don't know what happened - maybe new owners or a new chef? Not sure but after this experience we will not go back. At least we were able to get our money back from Uber Eats for these 4 items but we still paid high Uber Eats fees and a considerable tip for food that no one could eat, which was not...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a new place to eat Indian food and we passed Chefs kitchen, so we turned around and went in. It’s bowl renovated place. Small bit cozy restaurant. While talking to the waitress, we found out that they opened couple of weeks ago. Pretty new. We ordered dry bhindi , aloogobi, daal makhani, and garlic naan. The food was prepared after we ordered, so it was fresh and hot. Bhindi was unique with whole peanuts and unique masala. Alooghobi was tasty and the spice level was perfect. Daal makhani was smooth and buttery, and it had different taste then ordinary daal makhani, and had little extra touch of spice. It was unique taste. Garlic naan was freshly made and tasted good. The ambience was mellow. Slow Indian melody in the background made the lunch perfect. The table were set simply with bottles of water and San Pellegrino. The quantity of food was plenty, and quality was unique. At the end chef sent out two completely desserts. One was freshly cooked warm rosogulla, and the other was halva. The presentation of the desserts were awesome and the food was delicious. We ate and brought home the same amount that we ate. I am looking forward to eat it tomorrow. For a new place and new taste, I highly recommend this new restaurant. I found out that they are expanding their menu soon with South Indian dishes. I highly recommend that you check this place out. They have dine in or take out. I will go there again for its unique taste of fresh food. Our complements...
Read moreI hate writing this review, but this is quite literally the worst Indian food I've ever had and I say this as a desi (brown) person. The chicken vindaloo tasted so off, I kept asking my partner to try it to see if it was spoiled. It had this odd sour taste, and there was zero amount of spice in the dish, which is surprising because vindaloo is supposed to be very spicy. The goat biryani bucket was awful. It had this weird sweet taste as well as gamey aftertaste, as if the goat wasn't cleaned/washed well. The raita (yogurt sauce) was soooo sweet, which is not the way it's supposed to be. Sweet, weird tasting biryani with sweet raita, awful combination. I ordered food, not dessert. I think they can do way better, I recall their food tasting pretty good the first time I ordered from here a few years back. Disappointed in the meal, money...
