Crumbl — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

I LOVE the cookies and have excellent experiences and taste etc.. BUT yesterday I went to get 6 cookies at lunch time. One lady from Rossmoor was just leaving and saying how difficult it is to now get cookies as the lady behind the counter wouldn't help her and told her she had to enter everything on the computer pad herself. I thought that was odd as she must of been 80 years old. So I then went up to the counter and said I would like a 6 pack of the cookies. She said you need to put it in the computer. She didn't smile and was quite in tune to her project and seemed like I was a HUGE bother. I told her could you please help me as I just came from the Dr. and couldn't use my right hand as I just got a cortisone shot and didn't have my glasses with me. She then insisted I had to enter it on the computer before I could get any cookies? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? We have to work to get a cookie? Look at your audience-you are right by Rossmoor with 10,000 senior citizens and so many don't know how to use a computer, have an email. How hard is it to have the staff come and take your order like 100% of all other food places or restaurants. Besides she was very rude, so I walked out and said If you can't help me then I don't want any of your cookies. Your business is going to close if you can't Be friendly (and she told me she was the Assisted Manager) Help...

Today 01/17/2023, at around 4:45 PM I witnessed one of their employees putting cookie boxes that had dropped on the floor back with the clean boxes and on the counter where they roll cookie dough. I didn't see her sanitize the counter and judging by the way she put the boxes that had been on the floor back with the clean boxes, I highly doubt that she bothered to wipe the counter down before rolling dough on it again.

I also witnessed another employee at the same location working without gloves and routinely putting his fingers inside the cookie boxes to grab them. I brought this to the manager's attention and she seemed more concerned with trivializing their actions and arguing with me about what I saw instead of addressing the issue.

This location needs addition oversight as it relates to their food handling practices, Contra Costa County will be hearing about this.

EDIT: @Owner - I attempted to contact Crumbl support, but the only option was to contact the store directly, which I did. I emailed the owner before writing this review and have yet to receive a reply...

Just absolutely love these cookies and their whole presentation. Even more, the staff and management teams are incredible. I called this location regarding an issue with my order thinking my online app delivery order was from them. After being helped kindly by Assistant Manager Lexie for a long moment, I admittedly realized my order came from another location nearby. Thank you, Lexie, for all your patience! She was more than willing to help find a solution to my problem. Even when I first spoke with Maggie, I quickly could tell everyone on staff seems extremely friendly and willing to help.
