Aks Waltham — Restaurant in Waltham

I usually don’t leave reviews but I am just so fed up with this place. The last few times I have ordered from them; my order has been way off. Last night was just the icing on the cake for me. How do you mess up a basic Cesar Salad? The “Cesar Salad” I received had the following ingredients: Romaine Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Croutons, Feta Cheese, Ranch Dressing… If you don’t know how to make a basic 4 ingredient Cesar Salad (romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons, Cesar dressing) maybe you shouldn’t be working in the food industry. I have given this place many chances and if I have to “hope” my order comes out correct every time I order from them, then I probably shouldn’t be ordering from them anymore. It’s very unfortunate because the owner, Alex, is an extremely cool guy and willing to go above and beyond to make his customers happy. Went for a walk/hike at nearby Prospect Hill Park and found this place. Glad we did!

Having recently moved from NYC, pizza... well, is just different around MA. We got the Chicken Parm pizza based on other reviews. Didn't expect much but yum! The sauce, amount of chicken cutlet, cheese blend and ricotta on the pie was delicious. The crust isn't an NY style nor the Neopolitan style. It was a crispier crust , not thin, not thick and worked well holding the heavier set of toppings together. The crispiness gave a nice balance to the toppings.

Also got the italian sub, which was also good, more similar with other joint around MA. We would probably opt to get ones with their sauce based on the pizza.

My company meets in Waltham once a month and we buy the team lunch. We decided to try Aks due to the high rating on Google. Bought 5 pizzas they were all overcooked the crust was hard as a rock. The flavor was not there. Not sure why all the Google reviews rav about this place. The people that work at Aks are amazing super nice. But I have to be honest on the food review. None (all 12) of my coworkers liked the pizza. We had so much left overs no one wanted to eat it. The chicken pizza was suppose to be a chicken parm with ricotta there was only bite size pieces of chicken on it no ricotta.
