Where to start… please know that I try to give a place a chance before I leave a review. When this restaurant first opened they had awful/painfully slow service with mediocre food, however the location and view were wonderful. I booked 2 department holidays parties there because of the charm, however the service was just too slow to book it again for any type of event. When I found out that new management came in and revamped the food I was excited to go back again. The food was better (at first) and the service was a bit faster but not by much. Over the past 6 months they have just gone straight downhill… I had a cocktail served to me with a fly frozen in the cube, GROSS! Please note that I never asked for a complimentary cocktail or was offered one for the fly. Then a few weeks later we sat outside and were swarmed by gnats so bad we had to move inside. You would think being inside was better but they have a fly problem in there, gnats outside and flies inside…makes me wonder how they keep the kitchen with so many flies. I figured they were by the National Park so maybe that caused the bug issue. My last straw was the soggy fish tacos, I went for lunch and had fish soup as opposed to fish tacos. Every bite I took leaked an abundance of liquid, I finally said something to the server and was told that wasn’t normal but she then left the plate on the table to check with the chef. After a bit she came back and offered a dessert… what??? Why am I being offered a dessert when I was served soggy food that I couldn’t finish? I politely turned down the dessert and was given my check in full. I never demanded her to remake the food nor did I demand any kind of refund… she offered a dessert because the food was less than satisfactory. If you know the food isn’t correct then why are they charging full price for it. Then the owner or manager came over and said it is not the servers decision to credit food, and went on to ask me why I thought it was soggy, in which I referred her to the chef that prepared it. The fact is I come there often enough, I only order that dish and this time it was DISGUSTING, so don’t argue just do the right thing (PERIOD). There are many other places to dine at with very nice locations and I look forward to dining at those places...

Let me start by saying I can’t believe the amount of 5 star reviews on this place. We took a bike ride and stopped in for lunch thinking since it was a nice day we would sit on the patio - nope… closed for the season. Really didn’t matter because the chairs and tables are so rusty and it looked like the patio hadn’t been attended to in months. We chose to sit at the bar and came to find out that it’s the owners daughter that was the bartender. She was OBNOXIOUS… and that is polite… I could say far worse. I ordered the beet salad, husband ordered the fish sandwich and fries. The beets were gray..so gross… owner got so offended and tried to defend herself saying that they were vacuumed packed and delivered that day. Not a chance! My husband said the fish sandwich was blah and the fries were ok if you like a lot of burnt chicken nuggets with them. The only reason why I can imagine people like this place is because of the smoked meats. Poor smoker guy was the only one working his butt off. I felt so sorry for him because in addition to making the bartender “owners daughter” a medium rare ribeye - (poor thing - hadn’t eaten in 3 days because of the stress of the restaurant- and she let the whole place know) he had to listen to her complain about all the patrons and how bad she hated them. Apparently someone even videotaped her being rude and that really set her off. Which was actually a tad bit entertaining…Don’t order a drink with any garnishes before 2:00. They don’t have time to prep! Owner is too busy feeding grandson Oreos. (BTW - he hates onion rings, and tomatoes) Another useless bit of info I didn’t care to know about. This place is honestly disgusting and they have had multiple health code violations too. I am getting sick just thinking about my salad. Wish I would have taken...

I received a gift card to go here and heard it was great. We arrived and walked in to be greeted by a woman who was rolling silverware and was very unhappy and told us to go by the other entrance to see the hostess. So we do. It took a good 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Finally we are directed to wait outside or at the bar. We find seats at the bar. We ordered a drink. While sitting at the bar we were dripped on by a leak coming from their pipe and air conditioning system. Several areas were dripping within that area on the floor or on the tables. We sit down and we order from the menu. While we are ordering we get to hear the bartender and several other young servers talk about how rude a customer was and they were very loud and obnoxious using profanity. You can tell customers felt uncomfortable hearing this and yet they kept going until someone told them to chill out. Finally I get my food. I ordered the chicken blt sandwich. The chicken patty was cold inside and not edible. I asked the server what some of the drinks were that were specials and she had no idea what was in the them so came back 20 minutes later and finally told us the ingredients of one of the specials drinks. When it was time to get the bill the server brought it to my husband. I took it and put my gift card and my credit card in there. She came and asked him and him only if he needed a box or if everything was ok. He said no we didn’t need a box. She brought the receipt back again to my husband only and told us to have a good night. Clearly a lot has to be fixed and trained at this location but we will not be...

Our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant itself on the outside doesn't look like much, but the inside is really nice and they have huge windows that you can look out to see the creek. My boyfriend and I got the fried mozzarella and pretzel for an appetizer. The mozzarella was delicious and the pretzel was good except it was a little dry and there was no salt on it. My boyfriend got the mac and cheese with pulled pork on top. He said the pork was good but but the mac and cheese not so much. On the menu it says it's supposed to have a creamy cheese sauce, but it was more like shredded melted cheese. I got the salmon with spinach and sweet potato ravioli. The salmon definitely could have had some more salt and pepper on it, and I'm not sure if the ravioli really paired with everything else on the plate. We also got the chocolate covered pretzel martini and the latte martini. The latte one was good but the chocolate covered pretzel wasn't that great. Also the bartender poured heavy. Lastly it was my birthday so our waitress brought over a brownie with ice cream free of charge, which I thought was really nice.

One of my favorites (especially for pulled pork mac n' cheese- possibly a seasonal side-dish not sure). I can't find it better anywhere else. Great portion size. Delicious 😋 leftover as well. Atmosphere is great, always a big pine tree decorated for the seasons (even fall, military veteran's, etc), but it's a smaller establishment and can get loud if they're busy. The bartender with the dark red hair rocks. Always pleasant and a conversationalist, but not over the top (and she misses a beat and works her butt off). Summertime would be great outside on the patio, but one experience there were bees everywhere at the table (not good). The creek view is stunning in the winter (sit by the window it's a beautiful view). They have many BBQ items for the seasons (smoker outside), but I have not had much of that...I stick with my favorite PP MAC.

We have been wanting to go here for awhile. Prior to covid the parking lot and front patio was packed so we waited. We went about 6:30 Friday night. We were told we had about an hour wait. We ordered drinks and went out front and waited. They have plenty of picnic tables for people to wait. The whole staff was very polite and kind. They made sure to come let us know how the wait was going. We waited for the patio and what a view. The sound of the water is so calming. I ordered the ribs, they were smoked and a sweet tangy BBQ sauce. The husband ordered the chicken and grits. It was tasty and with a little kick. We also shared the artichoke dip. It was perfectly creamy. I felt bad since they were short staffed in the kitchen but they knocked it out. We definitely will be back and worth the wait!
