Petey's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Warren

I, like other reviewers, grew tired of other pizza places and for me in particular had written off the pizza place I frequented for years due to frequent errors & missing items with my orders + higher prices with less toppings and bad food quality. I haven't had pizza in a while but had a craving so I searched for best pizza in the area and Petey's Pizzeria was ranked one of the best. I called with questions about delivery (we were outside the delivery area), toppings and drink options. The gentleman that answered the phone was so warm, patient, pleasant and professional. I truly felt valued as a potential customer. When ran down the list of pop options available and FAYGO POP was on the list, I was sold!! I have never seen a pizzeria outside Detroit (and even some in Detroit) offer Faygo 2-liters, let alone all the various flavors that Petey's Pizzeria had on stock!

I went online to order from the Doordash website (I don't have the app) but there were no options to order drinks or pop so unfortunately, I didn't place my order that night. I instead waited until the next day to call directly and order carry out. I ordered two specialty pizzas...a Large Round Veggie (no olives) and a Large Square Supreme, both with a Garlic Butter/Parmesan/Sesame Seed crust. I really appreciate that Petey's will combine crust flavors to make a custom flavored crust at no extra charge. The gentleman on the phone remembered me from our previous phone call and after he gave me my total for the two pizzas, he also added a Faygo Redpop no charge for my troubles w/DoorDash. I was touched and appreciative of his graciousness!🤗

When the pizzas arrived they were pizzas were hot, freshly prepared, substantial in size and the FRESH toppings and sauce were deliciously good!! I MUST agree with a previous reviewer that the crust on both the round and square pizzas are airy & soft but with enough heft to hold all the toppings with the edges having that perfect crunch and flavor! The sauce was delicious and the mix of cheeses are on point!! Looks like we found our new pizza place because we are DEFINITELY hooked and will be back. Great pizza and excellent service to boot! Ordered the small round cheese with garlic butter crust. Taste was very flavorful and the ranch to dip the crust in was the show stopper topper for me! Sauce was a mild homemade taste that didn’t overtake the flavor of the cheese or the dough. The sauce was not heavily applied which I prefer. I asked for them to make it crispy on the bottom and they did. If you follow any of Daves videos on the one bite app this is a “football” style thicker doughy pizza but I like that! Scale on 1-10 I’m giving this a solid 7.9 on taste alone! They’re a new pizza joint around Warren and I can see them being in business for years if they keep that flavor on point. Awesome little place with two very large TV’s and about 6 retro style arcade games. Can’t wait to order more pizza from here! Enjoy!

5/25/23 UPDATE Went in today with a coworker and took our lunch break to play a few video game while we waited for our food to be freshly cooked. Ordered the “small” cheese garlic bread with their house ranch. The house ranch could be a side item and I’d take it home to dip anything in it! Very friendly atmosphere, very clean and well maintained. Support small businesses! If you live in the area and make the choice to go to one of the overpriced pizza chains and pass this place on the way I’d like to know why. Awesome food with...

AMAZING! Go see Steve!! From the moment we walked until we left it was a great experience. Steve warmly greeted us as we walked in giving us a rundown of some of the products that he offers and even some knowledge on some of their pies to help you make a decision. After some conversation and contemplation we ordered a round pepperoni pizza, square BLT and of course the garlic knots that we read so much about (have to try the homemade ranch). Everything was delicious and on point. During our visit I was delighted to see a customer come in and greeted just as warmly as we were. Listening it sounded like this was a repeat customer and Steve had asked her about her job and some other individuals at that workplace and I thought that was great. She also only came in for two pieces of pizza and a pop and he hooked her up with a whole pizza!! This all may not sound like much, but come to find out while leaving steve was just in a car accident and was more concerned about coming in to take care of his customers and open the shop for the day that his own issues. Definitely will be returning to try some of the other delicious items on the menu. Make sure to set aside some that hot honey for...
