Arnies's was an incredibly pleasant surprise. We live in Astoria, the neighboring town, and it is, in an area, rife with fresh seafood and fish, among so many other ingredients, the epicenter of restaurants striving toward mediocrity Arnie's is the bright light at the end of a very sad tunnel. The interior is contemporary, casual, and clean. Very clean, in fact. All the condiment containers on all the tables were visibly clean and neatly arranged. It was busy for a Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, and after dining there, I'm not surprised. The staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about their product. The place runs very smoothly, and it's clear that the staff is happy; laughing smiling cooks in the open kitchen and seemingly happy front of house staff as well. There's great energy in there! Now to THE FOOD! The plates are big and beautiful! I ordered a short stack of pancakes, thinking it would be a couple of 6 inch long pancakes and hot damn! Was I wrong. It was 2, foot long, perfectly fluffy, expertly prepared, buttermilk pancakes. It took me 3 days to finish eating them, and I made sure I did. My man had precisely, deliciously cooked over-medium eggs, a rarity at best, so kudos to the cook for that alone. He also had the Biscuits and Gravy with Arnie's signature gravy, chock full of sausage and bacon, and served over light and crunchy biscuits the size of softballs. It took me 2 days to finish eating that, too. The food was phenomenally good! I highly recommend a visit to Arnie's. I can't wait to go back for lunch. Arnie knows his sh#t.

Every once in a while, I encounter a place that whose food has such exceptional flavor, it blows me away. My wife and I found Arnie's, first by accident (driving by it, closed), then on purpose (after seeing some of the glowing recommendations. The food may look like any other diner but the taste is wonderful, beyond any other place in memory. I had the chicken fried steak- tender cube steak, breaded and fried, undoubtedly in butter. It's served along side perfectly crispy/tender hash browns, and the gravy is magnificent. My wife and I agreed to split a cinnamon roll. It was huge, heavenly-light but the butter frosting made it delightfully sinful. Combo it for 3.50 extra and get perfect eggs, bacon, and toast. And they serve Raven's Brew coffee: dark, rich and smooth while still packing a powerful punch. Check out their "Dead Man's Reach" . The staff was wonderfully attentive while still shining in their attitude and personality. I would go out of my way for this place, and the number of WA plates in their OR establishment tells me I'm not the only one. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will NOT regret it.

Woah! We live locally, but out of town, and finding a good breakfast joint is key. This place nailed it. The menu is extensive. (be sure to study it before going-it took almost thirty minutes to just decide what to order. Too many delicioussssss choices to choose from. They have created some incredible dishes. We ordered the country Benedict🤯, and veggie scramble (with a side of hollandaise, that also did not disappoint ), and French toast, which was probably one of the best French toasts I've had 🤤 😋. The potatoes were even killer. Food came out pretty quick, and hot. Service was satisfactory, too. Even though being handed the bill WITH breakfast suggests the urge to flip tables; the waitress was very attentive and socialable. The layout and atmosphere was kind of cafe-esk. .. as a hospital or school cafeteria, but open and airy with comfy-cozy, home style decor. It appeared that, what seemed to be the owner, was in and conversation with a few of the tables as if visiting with family. Will definitely be a must have when in town. (and a most likely fulfilled craving when it hits again. )

wow --I want to give this a five star & it does deserve it. A small place and sometimes a moderate wait so I don't want to encourage to many people to go here..But to be fair I have to say no better breakfast for my liking anywhere. Nothing fancy old fashioned huge breakfast at a great price.. you can get a double vanilla latte if you want Baristas on site. ************* Or a Fog cutter if that's what your style - If you like real black coffee from a pot not a Keurig machine and well seasoned plates and silver where that do the trick on the HUMONGEOUS portions you will be happy. Again five stars but please don't go. lol Homemade biscuits with real butter! I had Arnie's omelette- My friend had eggs benedict with spinach. Both rated highly. Best breakfast on the North Coast I will be back soon for lunch and try Riley's Hamburger sounds delicious!.

I ordered the country Benedict. I thought it was good. It could've used a bit more gravy. The poached eggs were done right. My wife had the Denver omelet with hash browns. She thought the eggs were too thick. The hash browns seemed a bit undercooked under the brown crispy top. She ordered a Dirty hot chocolate, Which is a hot chocolate filled with espresso. She thought it was difficult to taste the espresso in it. Our server was good at the start but after she dropped the food at our table she checked on us a few minutes later and gave us the check. We hadn't really even started eating our food yet. She never came back to check on us. We had to ask another server for more napkins. This place seems to be where locals go. We aren't from around here. We stay in Washington about 45 mins east of here.

Me and my family stopped at this lovely cafe and loved it! There was a small wait for our 5-person party, but nothing crazy. This cafe, despite being small, can easily handle parties as large as 7 people. I love chicken fried steak and eat it at every place I go. This cafés steak ranks #3! The steak is amazing! The lemonade, hot coco (add some half and half, you'll thank me later) , coffee, and other little side things are so so, but the main dishes easily earn this cafe a 5 star rating! Well worth any a small wait to be seated. The staff are friendly and nice. Great place to eat breakfast! Edit: Came back the next day! The Eggs Benedict is delicious! Served with an orange slice for garnish, the plate is colorful and great to look at! This place is truly a gem! I HIGHLY recommend this place!
