Loved my visit to Bubba’s. Spent two months vacationing in Seaside and came across Bubba’s one day. It’s a Pittsburgh Steelers bar and was cool to see so much of the history all over the walls. And they are paired up with Fultanos as their food side of the operation. This was my first experience for both and man am I so happy that I picked Bubbas to try Fultanos! I’m a bigger guy (6’ and just shy 500lbs at current) with a bigger appetite and when I came across the calzone on the menu, just knew that was the thing to try. It says it big enough for two people and let me tell you, even with my larger appetite, I started to get a little full after about half. I went with the combo, which comes with pepperoni, salami, sausage, and mushrooms, but subbed black olives for the mushrooms and got a side of ranch. I eventually knocked the whole thing out, but it took me a while. My stopping here was near the end of my two month Seaside stay, otherwise I probably would have saved half for another meal if I wasn’t having to get on the road traveling and not needing more for the fridge. It’s well worth the price of $17! I imagine most will get two meals out of it and some maybe even 3 or 4 if smaller appetites. Beyond the food, the bartenders were great and attentive the few hours I was there. Beyond being my own nickname also, which was a big selling point to visit, they’ve won me over with the ambience, great staff, drinks, and food… even being a Steelers bar…...
Read moreThis is a pizza place that for some reason serves burgers, but only after a 45 minute wait.
One bartender serving the entire bar, with 25-40 people.
Placed order, was at least 20 minutes before it was processed by the burger cook, whereupon it took another 20 minutes to assemble my order. Only they messed up the potato portion, which took another 10 minutes.
The burger is mediocre, sysco patties, and a wierd (cold) bun. Their burger flattop is tiny.
And the kicker? For the bacon cheeseburger, you don't get bacon strips. Oh no no no. You get two teaspoons of bacon bits. Are you kidding me? I'm been eating bacon cheeseburgers for a good 40 years, I've never been served freaking BACON BITS.
I'm pretty sure that, if it existed, they used bacon bits from the salad bar.
Check out my picture, see if you can find the bacon. They also performed the sin of oversized red onion. The kitchen is just pushing buttons.
I checked out the salad bar / pizza buffet. It's a tiny salad bar, and the pizza consists of 3 stale pies. The pizza part of the store was packed, but it was families with kids, who will eat anything.
Looked like standard bar pizza.
The tots were meh, mushy texture, dollar store tots. Bartender didn't offer me a 2nd beer, nor did they check or...
Read moreThis is our go-to place when we go across the river to shop. The best servers bar none! Just a great atmosphere and people are always friendly. The drink pours are generous and if you drink something like a greyhound or a screwdriver they actually use fresh grapefruit and oranges which you can watch them squeeze into your drink glass with their handy-dandy bar juicer. They make the best pizza around and our favorite is The Everything Pizza minus the tomatoes and minus the pepperoni . I think we have tried most of their food and it's all great. Bring a washcloth if you're going to eat their famous hot wings because they are messy, but they will give you plenty of napkins. Be prepared if you go back often they will remember your drinks of choice and your names. If you like laid-back friendly then this is your...
