2025 update: King cut is like $4 more now. Stella artois on tap. My king cut was indeed medium with a well done ring, which makes sense as I came in towards the end of service. If you want a bloody cut, come in early. My side was fries, tasty, skin on. Chowder was yummy. Fantastic service. Both reheat really well in the air fryer, despite being in a cooler for a couple of days. Slice the beef into like 1/3-1/2" strips, put in the AF with the leftover fries. The beef should be warmed thru by the time the AF is heated to 400F. If you're not a senior, and am not a breakfast person, I'd skip their Sat/Sun bfast. Place is full of grey hairs getting the special, meanwhile I was stuck paying $17 for a ham plate. The whites of my sunny side up eggs weren't completely set. ---- Best chowder I've had in recent memory, 10/10. Got the king cut prime rib $44.95, includes the chowder, perfect medium throughout. Great and fast service. Apparently they offer prime rib starting at 5pm EVERYDAY June/July/September. Under 5 minute drive from ft Stevens campground.

The one of the most funny things during a trip is discovering nice restaurants. Have our breakfast here. Actually, the food is not too bad. The New York steak comes with 3 eggs, grill potatoes, and bread, very big plate, only $26, very good. But what we didn’t expect is the shrimp omelette makes with frozen baby shrimps, which is a little bit disappoint. The French toast is not the same as I had normally either. The maple syrup is perfect, but the way they make the French toast is a bit different from what I’m used to. I’m not sure what kind of bread they use, it is soft, but also a bit dense and salty. When mixed with the maple syrup, the flavor was hard to describe. Maybe it’s their signature style, but personally, I’m not a big fan of that sweet-and-salty combination. However, the service is the best. The lady always smile to everyone. She even helps a young couple to take care of the crying baby, let them enjoy the breakfast. It makes the morning is very sweet and beautiful.

Welcoming local watering hole and just a great place to have a meal. They are located just a few blocks away from the Hammond Marina and a great viewing spot to water the barge traffic on the Columbia River. There's a family restaurant side and a No Minors side, so if you just want to watch the game with other adults, you can. Warm and cozy atmosphere created by the lovely wood walls and ceiling. Casual and friendly. They have an outside seating area as well. The food is really good. The best cod fish 'n chips that I've had in a while. The fries were done perfectly crispy without being overdone. Kudos to the chef! The fish was flake-apart heaven. Tasty tartar sauce; good chopped coleslaw. Save room for dessert...the blackberry cobbler a' la mode finished me off, and I rolled out the door fat and happy! Highly recommend!

After moving to the area a few months ago, we finally tried Buoy 9, which is about a 10 minute drive. I didn't know what to expect because the exterior definitely like a hit or miss place. It all was a hit. As soon as we walked in, I saw people turning their heads towards the door to see who was coming in. It wasn't quite like scenes from Weird Science or Animal House, but close. But we soon realized that pretty much everyone knows everyone by first name. The ironic thing is, I didn't get a single person's name, including our waitress! We decided to sit at the bar since it was pretty open. We ordered a couple beers and checked out the menu. Before my first Guiness was empty our awesome waitress already had another for me! My wife and I both decided on the prime rib with baked potato, which was awesome. We also ordered crabcakes and enjoyed them. We ordered food for a couple kids and an order of marionberry cobbler a-la-mode to go. That cobbler was amazing. Not only was our food delicious, but the staff were all so friendly and awesome. I told my wife on more than one occasion that I think I found my new favorite place here in Oregon. Sadly, we decided on this place as our last meal before starting a 30-day meal plan. But now I think I'm going to cheat at the halfway point just so I don't have to wait a month to go back. Did I mention you can buy Lottery and bingo tickets here? They sold me $25 worth of losing Powerball tickets, but I won't hold it against them. They tried. I cannot wait to go back!! It's probably a good thing they aren't within walking distance for me. I'd probably have to get a job there to justify my daily presence....

Good food, prices a bit steep Friendly service, not overbearing. We were staying in a Yurt at Ft Stevens, had our hearts set on shakes & burgers at Dairy Maid but they were closed on Sunday & Mondays. So, we gave Bouy 9 a try, 8 of us. Most of us got burgers because they were the only meals about $10. The burgers were filled with ample fresh veggies & the fries are good. We also treated ourselves to their Marionberry Cobbler & that was amazing - large portion, breading was great & lots of berries! We split them between 2 people, so good! My only complaint is the cost, they seemed to be the only place near the park when Dairy Maid is closed. We got equally good burgers with fries for almost half the price driving through Kalama the next day. The fries at Bouy are another $2 extra over the already high burger price, plus you pay a buck for a slice of cheese. Halibut & chips were $18. Everything seems just about a 1/3 to 1/2 higher than I usually pay for good grub.. I would give them 5 stars except for that. Prices are high right now, I totally understand that, but not quite that high. I see they are having staffing shortages as well, hopefully the employees are given the bulk of that extra cost, then I wouldn't feel so bad about paying more...but if they have high prices & still pay minimum, then it's...

Update to my review:

I just got off the phone with the manager Dan. I expected something more than an apathetic apology. Something to make me want to come back and try again. He stated the restaurant broke records for sales on Saturday. That they are inching towards the finish line. "Sorry about your dinner being messed up, but what do you want me to do about it?" Seriously, something obviously. I will not return.

How can a restaurant change so much in an hour? You read and tell me...

My mother came home yesterday raving about this restaurant. She was in around 5:30pm. She told us she had prime rib, a lovely salad. She told us she had a baked potato and that it came "loaded" She was brought sour cream, butter, green onions, and bacon!!!

My husband and I decided to have my mom babysit so we could go try this fantastic place. Fast forward 1 hr after my mom left the restaurant. I ordered my prime rib. I got a grey piece of meat, a sad overdone baked potato, my potato came with sour cream and butter in it. I asked about green onions and the waitress looked at me like I was an alien.

My salad arrived 15 mins after my entree.

When I questioned all the changes, I got told "Welcome to salmon season"

I'm super...
