I don't go an entire week without eating here, and if I had the budget I'd eat here even more often than that. It's easy to find mediocre Thai food, but this is one of those rare gems. Seattle has more Thai food restaurants than it has open parking spaces, and this place would be considered fantastic in Seattle. The peanut sauce here is fantastic, especially the preparation that comes with the salad rolls. If you're like me and you always want to know what the pad thai tastes like, I would recommend Pad Thai with the side of the lemongrass chicken and peanut sauce because it is divine. Also like any place that takes heat seriously, their scale goes from 0 to 4 stars. For people who enjoy actually spicy food like I do, three and four star dishes offer all the flavorful heat you would want without going overboard. There are other Thai food restaurants within 30 miles of this one, but this is the only one...
Read moreMy pictures won't do any of their food justice because it's the complex smells and tastes that will let you know you've just stepped into heaven. Nisa's food is quite possibly the best Thai food I've had in decades across many states and countries. Even my partner, who does not like Thai food, insists on going here every time we are nearby. The spices in every dish are delicious, aromatic and deeply complex without ever being muddy. They are cooked in a small kitchen when ordered and done so very quickly. Each time we try a new dish and have been consistently surprised because we thought the last dish we tried was the best and couldn't get any better. We were skeptical about the awards (local) they had won, but this place deserves international...
Read moreIt's been 5 years since I last reviewed Nisa's and they're still a 5-star spot! We still go back for different things, but the Pad Prik Khing and chicken wings are our favorites. Nisa's is one of the few places on the coast where you can ask for your food spicy and they'll actually give you spicy food!
It's worth explaining that point: First, you don't have to get it spicy. It's just as tasty without the heat. Second, just because you order it spicy doesn't mean they simply dump some sauce on it. You get a well-seasoned spicy dish. That's not typical, believe me!
If it's your first time, try the Pad Thai, chicken wings and Tom kha. Come back for the Pad Prik Khing, Eggplant and Basil, Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, or Pineapple Fried Rice. You...
