This is regards to the Warsaw, Indiana Moe's:
The last time I ate at this Moe's I was not impressed at all, so this visit I thought I would give Moe's another chance, big mistake. I walk into the restaurant a little before 1:30, so well enough after the lunch "rush", if there was one. I am greeted with the customary "welcome the Moe's" which was nice, but a quick look around the filthy dining are made me want to turn around and leave then, but I continued on to order. Logan N., that is the name on the receipt, was nice at first, I wanted beef nachos, but the beef looked like it had been sitting for hours, dry, brown/black, it looked like it should have been thrown out hours ago, or at the very least stirred, but that effort was obviously too much effort as I will soon explain. I decide on chicken and continue with my order. Not surprisingly, the portion size was a lot smaller than in the past and the price has gone up. But that is to be expected, but still disappointing. I go to pay and use my credit card and an automatic tip is placed on my order, (keep in mind there is also a plastic cup in front of the register for cash tips) I remove the tip amount by typing $0. Upon seeing this, Logan very loudly and very angerly verbally abuses me by saying "Yeah right, I'm doing what I am getting paid for."
The entitlement of some people think they deserve.
I am a good tipper when it is deserved. I ask, why do waitresses get tipped after the meal is served and you are paying for your meal? I encourages them to give you great services and that is what I am tipping, the great service and dining experience...
I continue with my dining experience..... I ignore the entitled employee and turn to find a table and see that most of the tables are empty and filthy. I finally pick a spot to sit, place my tray down and go to the drink machine, which was so filthy I didn't want to touch the screen with my bare hands. The drink lids were almost empty, after I took my size lid, there was 2 lids left. The salsa bar was also disturbingly filthy and had empty places where there was salsa missing.
I get a cup of salsa but can't use it because I'm too leery about how old it is and the sanitary condition of it, sit down and try to eat my nachos. The chicken was rubbery and had an odd texture, like it was old and had been sitting out for quite a while. My nachos were disappointing. I finish my meal and take my tray to the trash can, which was completely full so that my trash balanced on top of the trash can, not even being able to go inside the trash can lid. I left feeling very disappointed and quite sure that that was the last time I will ever eat at a Moe's again. Sadly, my kids and I loved eating at Moe's when they were younger, but no more.
So back to Logan and his verbal abuse.... "No Logan you were not even doing what you are getting paid to do. The restaurant was filthy, the trash needed to be emptied, the condiments were empty, the store was filthy. I did not use the restrooms, but I can only imagine what they looked like judging from the dining room."
And that is why I did not come back up and give you a cash tip after my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMoe's is a southwest grill that advertises piling on its meat and creating things to customer satisfaction. My first inkling of the place was the amount of people present when I entered. It as a whole left me expecting something that would knock my socks off. While examining the menu in the line of abundant hungry customers, I found that the random titling of burritos and tacos and quesadilla's fell flat on me. I certainly do not think "John Cocostana" when i want to order a quesidilla. Nor do I think "Moo Moo Mr. Cow" when thinking of ordering a child's burrito. While wordplay can be fun and enticing, the overall incoherency left me more baffled than impressed. Getting the food was similar to that of a Subway check thru. You tell the first person what you want, they pile, or rather on the contrary "sprinkle" meat on it and then pass it off to the next person. That person asks you what toppings you want and them throws your food on a grill for what feels like 30 seconds. Your food is then sliced (mine was partially sliced) and wrapped up, upon paying for the food (I had come with a friend) i paid 2.19$ apiece for two 22oz drinks and then near 18 dollars for a quesadilla and a crunchwrap (called a wrong doug?) My total ended up coming out to be 23.07$ which already felt extremely high for the amount of meat I received but I optimistically paid convinced that I would be blown away by the flavors. Aside from dealing eith the broken fountain dispenser and going outside to enjoy my meal, I regretfully found that my quesadilla was already falling apart. This was likely due to the tortilla not being grilled to even a slight browning. The flavors were bare and I felt almost as if I had stopped at Taco Bell ordered a quesadilla and was charged extra without the additional sides. The free chips provided were also a disappointment in the aspect that they were unsalted and incredibly stale. I found that I was unable to even finish the meal and truly felt duped of my hard earned money. Whilst trying to throw away the disappointing meal and the overpriced cups i found that their trashcan had a hole smaller than 6 inches making it incredibly hard to quickly and easily dispose of things causing a near line just to discard trash. I cannot recommend Moe's as an establishment that stands up to their advertising or cost. Save yourself some cash and avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Moeās was okay. Definitely had a lot of young workers who had no idea what they were doing. Clearly havenāt worked in customer service before. I used to go to moeās all the time when I lived in Florida and was excited to stop while we were in Indiana.
I wanted to introduce my husband to the food and their amazing queso since Chipotle dominates Chicagoland. Anyways havenāt ordered their food in a while and wanted to order tacos. I asked the worker what can go on a taco and sheās like I donāt know. I was just curious what comes with my taco. Sad she didnāt even know what can go on a taco which isnāt extra. Then I get to the checkout and I just wanted a bottle of water. I didnāt phrase it right I guess cause I got charged one drink and one water bottle. I told the cashier and she just said well okay. So nothing was done about that. She didnāt even give us the make it deal price which is cheaper for a side of queso and a 22 oz drink. I was pretty frustrated by the lack of customer service. Food was good though, but definitely would not return back to this location. The cashier seemed unhappy and her demeanor made me never want...
