I don't know what's happened to this place in recent years, but it's gone WAY down hill.
Others complained about them being rude, and there's truth to that. They've never been particularly apologetic when they make a mistake, but now the food has a tendency of being bad too.
We stopped eating in the restaurant a long time ago - booths are uncomfortable, carpet should have been replaced 10 years ago. We were only doing take-out.
Rude / No sense of customer service : They didn't even give a sorry when they missed a $15 dish in a delivery order - which I told them the next day when they reopened. Another time, when they messed up an order of sweet and sour shrimp in a to go order - they only gave me the shrimp, no sauce - I mentioned it when ordering the next time and they offered to give me sauce - not shrimp because "they're too expensive." I know they are, I paid for them!
We've been used to this attitude - so shame on me for continuing to order. Well, no more - the food is inconsistent now. Sometimes you'll get a dish and it's fine, other times its horrible. Example: shirmp and lobster sauce - it should be a relatively thick sauce, certainly not watery. The last 2 times is was thin to the point that putting a small portion over rice would fill the plate with liquid.
We'll be on a mission to find somewhere else nearby. A shame, because we've been a regular customer...
Read moreFirst I will say one positive thing, the waiter was very nice. Now onto the rest. The establishment inside looks nothing like the photos on their website. The food on a mall food court level quality. Shrimp toast was soaked in oil. We couldn’t use enough napkins to squeeze it out. The shrimp fried dumplings were not at all what we have had in the past. It was like crab rangoon style and so liquidy. Lastly, their general tso shrimp was horrible. If anyone ever has had the sweet and sour chicken (I don’t eat meat/land animals) but I remember how the batter was thick and overpowering. This was all you could taste. Every piece looked the same and the tips of the tail shell were left on covered with the batter. I wound up just pulling off the batter because it was so thick. And the sauce was syrupy. It was just a very bizarre experience. We were on our way home from Mt Airy and wanted to try something different and we sure did! I’m giving two stars because of how nice...
Read moreOk so after a LONG debate with my girlfriend about dinner we ordered from here only cause hunan wok was closed. $33 later we sat down with anticipation of our egg rolls and wound up eating shrimp rolls WTH.. then my sesame chicken looked like someone from grub hub ran it over until it was flat and tasteless. PS I’m really not making this up. 4/9/19. Rice was good but let’s be real. It’s hard to ruin rice. I took a picture sent it to Gordon Ramsey on twitter and he said it looked more like sesame kitten. After a bmw ran it over. Sorry but we were VERY disappointed. Wasn’t even worth the argument to get my money back. No need to reply....not like I’ll ever visit your establishment nor this site...
