Better than expected! I have no idea why I've lived 15 minutes away for about 2 decades and have never tried Bernardi's. I'm really regretting that now! The garlic pretzel appetizer was delicious with both the cheese and marinara side for dipping. But beware, it's a stomach-filler - huge and shareable by 6-8 people! My Tuscan Parmesan was a unique take on Lasagna, breaded, deep fried, and then served with both marinara and Alfredo sauces. This is comfort food at its best. Our waitress was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Prices are between reasonable and a little high, we spent just over $100 with a tip for 4 meals (plus appetizer) and non-alcoholic drinks. Highly recommended all around, we will be back often!

Having visited Italy many times, and having eaten in some very fine restaurants in both the east and west coast, I was VERY impressed with this establishment. I ordered the grilled seafood salad, along with a glass of excellent chardonnay. The service was very good, the salad beyond compare. Brooke the G.M. was extremely attentive, and they brought my service dog Genes a bowl of water. I really cannot say enough great things about this place, but I more than highly recommend it. I will most definitely return very soon...

I have heard good things about this place and have wanted to eat there for awhile now. My husband had never been either and so we decided to eat there tonight while in the area. We left extremely disappointed, to say the least. The place was small but the vibe was nice, and the waitress and manager (?) were extremely friendly. The food, however, was so underwhelming that we could barely eat it. The fried green beans were obviously fried in yesterdays walleye grease because they tasted like Long John Silvers hush puppies (but in a bad way). The ā€œhomemadeā€ ranch was thick and tasted like sweet mayonnaise. No thanks. I couldn’t eat my salad. My husband’s Alfredo was so flavorless that he asked for marinara to add to it for flavor. Their marinara is basically picante sauce straight from the jar so it is super watery and not good with pasta. My husband hs never found an Alfredo he does not like…until today! Chicken was also bland he said. I chose marinara instead of meat sauce in my dish so I couldn’t even eat it because it was a watery picante sauce mess. I did eat the baked cheese off the top and thought it was good until I dug into the oniony picante like sauce. The lady, who seemed to be the manager, was beyond sweet as can be. We didn’t complain but she came and asked us how our food was and my husband said, it was okay…. And she asked ā€œjust okay?ā€ We then explained and felt really bad and tipped the waitress double. I’m just amazed how people go there and actually like their food!!!! Literally, I’m floored. She pleaded for us to come back another time to try the fish but ha, that won’t ever happen. We eat out a lot and that’s the worse place we’ve ever been to I think, as far as flavor goes. Everyone has a different palate so try it for yourself, just heed with caution. I’m going to hope it was just a new cook...

I brought my parents and children for a nice meal. I like the ambiance. Dim lighting, nice bar, bit old school Italian restaurant feel.

We started with some apps toasted Ravoli and Onion rings. Both were pretty good. However from there everything else was less than spectacular.

The wait staff did not appear to be very organized. I had to walk to the bar numerous times to get refills. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive at our table even though the restaurant was not crazy busy. The waiter suggested asparagus, then came back before the food came out to let us know they didn't have any. My mother ordered the special for the night (a salmon dish), it took them nearly 20 minutes longer for her to get her food than the rest of the table (the waiter blamed the kitchen for missing it I know as a former server that is usually not the case). I got the top sirloin with tortellini. The steak was cooked as desired but there was not a lot of flavor (I had to add salt which I do not normally do). Their meat sauce has a salty flavor, I prefer a sweeter fresher tasting sauce.

That being said maybe we just got them on an off night. I have been before pre-covid and it was very good; this time not so much. Probably a 2 star experience this time around but I gave it 3 because of my past experience. Not sure I...

While this place was recommended to me by two different family members in the area. I did not find it as appealing as they did. First off, we were seated at 1900 and we ordered almost immediately. The waitress came to check on us at 1920, without any food. When I inquired about how soon we would be eating, I was told it would not be much longer. At 2000, she came by us again to see how we were doing. I told her that if I can't get my food kind of quickly we would need to leave. At 2010 our food came out to the table. The baked potatoes we had felt a little hard still. Two of us ordered fried chicken, the third person ordered the sirloin filet. The fried chicken was extremely deep fried and the skin was very brittle, almost over cooked. The chicken meat was cooked well and tasted good. The steak was very small. Overall the food was ok, however, I would not rave over the food here. The waitress was a nice young lady, and I felt she was embarrassed over the wait times that we had to endure. She was still given a decent tip, because we did not feel it was her fault for the extreme delay in...
