Chote's Tacos — Restaurant in Washington

First off, expectations are not exactly high since this is technically a gas-station restaurant. The general impression I got from the workers was that they were annoyed I was there. They should probably have been enough of a red flag to go elsewhere, but the type of food sounded perfect for my mood that day.

It wasn't.

The soda machine was out of ice, and seemed to have been out for a considerable amount of time. It is hard to understand how one claims to be selling Iced Tea as a beverage option when there is no ice available.

I ordered the street tacos, since that seemed to be the namesake for the business. The meat was shriveled and dried out. It would have made for decent jerky, but not a good topping for street tacos. I got a sample of 3 different types, and they were all 3 equally dried out and stale. Worst street tacos I've ever had.

I went there yesterday, and honestly — never again. The cashier, who I believe is also the owner, looked annoyed the entire time. No smile, no greeting, no “thank you”, no offer of sauce or anything — just cold energy like I was bothering him. I even tipped $3, though I honestly felt like I shouldn’t have.

The prices are like in a full-service restaurant — I paid $21 just for a basic plate and a drink. The meat was hard as a rock, like chewing rubber. I sat down inside to eat and only managed to finish half before throwing the rest away.

On top of that, the cashier barely talks, and when he does, the accent is so strong it’s hard to understand a word. If you don’t speak Spanish — don’t expect a smile or decent service.

He even forgot to give me a cup for the drink. Just overall a terrible experience. I’d strongly recommend going...

I come here often I always call in my order a breakfast burrito with chicken,bacon,pico and sour cream normally when the owner is there is always perfect. But today lady took my order read it back to me told me the price everything is good. I get there she charged me 24 bucks after she told me 23 on the phone. But okay whatever I'll pay it. I get in my truck get on i90 start eating my burrito there's no chicken no sour cream or pico! Very frustrating especially because I don't have the time to turn around. And she read my order back to me and it was still wrong. This is a great business and the owner is an awesome honestly young man. But these new workers need to pay attention and put more care...
