Deset Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Washington

Wow! I’ve driven past this place hundreds of times and never gave it a second thought But what a mistake that was! Deset Ethiopian restaurant is excellent! I’ve only been there once and I ordered miser wot for takeout. The food was flavorful, the Injera was fresh and the portion was ample. It also came with a side salad dressed with a vinaigrette. The vegetables were crisp and fresh and flavorful and the dressing had a nice tang to it. And this is only for $8.75, plus tax.

It’s a no-frills place with basic tables set up and TVs tuned to news or sports, and a full bar as well. The cool thing about this though is you feel like you’ve stepped into a restaurant in Addis! It has a very local familiar, vibe.

Can’t deny that their food is amazing, although pricey. Probably the best I’ve had in the city. My problem with them is, they’re never actually open when they claim they are. It’s very frustrating when I place an order on doordash thinking they’re open and waiting usually for about an hr just to finally get a notification that my order is cancelled. They really need to update their open hrs to reflect the right time. I waste so much money and of course DoorDash never refunds, just gives credits. Which isn’t helpful if I have my mouth set on a specific type of food. Please update the hours you all are...

Manager bar lady is rude not compassionate I placed a order online awaze tibs I meant to place an order for chicken tibs which is the same price as the awaze even a couple cents more anyaways I cannot consume red meat for health reasons only lean skinless chicken I should’ve double made sure on my end I selected the right one so I had my boyfriend to pick up the order for me with the show order details on DoorDash he explained the situation and she completely dismissed the health reason and forced him to take the beef with him and it comes with two side I asked for beets it didn’t...
