Attempted to eat there with my kiddo (who’s 12) and a picky eater. Asked for a kids menu (like we always do) because all she will eat is a simple burrito literally with only tortilla and chicken. Plain, nothing on it, just simple and basic with maybe a few bites of beans on the side. Plus she doesn’t have a big appetite. Was told no because apparently the kids menu is for 10 and under. (Which truly is the first time I’ve ever heard of this, have always seen kids menus for 12 and under and have never had issues in the past getting one for her) The only other option he offered is paying $12 for an ala carte burrito with no side of beans which I would have to pay extra for. Idk maybe I’m sound entitled but if the parents are going to spend $$$ on drinks, appetizers, and meals for everyone then does two years really count that much to lose out on a $75 + tip meal over a kids menu when the kid is two years over? Not even a teenager yet. Hostess was rude and slapped chips down at the table half full right as we sat down with an annoyed irritated look on her face. Overall really poor customer service and bad vibes from the moment we walked in. We decided to leave without eating. Went to another family owned spot in GH and had the best experience ever. I worked in restaurants for years, is something as minuscule as a kids meal FOR A KID really worth losing a customer and money over?
Currently pregnant and drove over 30 minutes for a specific El Sombrero craving. Really...
Read moreThis has to be a joke. This is by far the worst Mexican food I have ever had. First off the prices were way too high for the quality of food that they were offering. The food it self had no flavor at all. I got steak with mushrooms and bacon no flavor what so ever. The refried beans were from a can at best. The kicker was the salsa. I've grown up in Texas and have eaten at a lot of tacorias so I'm not just coming out of left field. The salsa actually had no taste no tomato or cilantro or even onion never mind jalapeno. I couldn't figure out how they did this. When I go for Mexican or Tex Mex it's because I want some kind of explosion of flavor this place is a dud of flavor. Don't waste your money. This is not Mexican food I'm sad for anyone who doesn't know how bad this...
Read moreThis place hits the top of a basic Mexican restaurant in all the right ways. Flavorful as in balanced fat and salt for the pollo a la crema from a broth standpoint, not a seasoning standpoint. Do keep in mind that the food here is bland, just executed decent. The ingredients were all prepared well in the chimichanga, and chicken taquitos. the margaritas were tasty and the mixed drink wasn't a bad pour either. When it comes to Mexican restaurants, they hit a cap fast on quality unless they're a steak house or are going for authentic. This place isn't either of those, and sure, it could use more seasoning, but as a nicely decorated and easily approachable place, it's hard but to...
