Update: Thanks to owner for confirming the one really good Mocha I got here was the mistake.

First time I came here (shortly after they opened) I was pretty underwhelmed -- e.g., my Mocha tasted watered down for both chocolate & coffee. Today both my coffee & wife's were some of the best we've had in Pierce/Kitsap area. We'll definitely be back! Also plan to make time for one of their sandwiches. A number of their menu listings sound rather different, and really good. [Strongly recommend checking the current menu post ed inside...much more interesting that the menu in Google photos.]

Update, 09/23/22: Third Mocha tasted about same, or worse, than the first. That puts their Barista at 1 out of 3, for me. Not very encouraging. Reducing from 5 stars to 2.

Update 01/08/23: Have to think "Top Rated" must be due to bots and/or relatives? Mocha results now 1 out of 4. That's it for me...won't be wasting any more $ here. Reducing stars to 1. (would be minus 4 if that were possible) BTW...ambiance and staff are very nice, but to paraphrase an old political slogan: it's the...

WOW. Okay so I’ve been looking for a little brunch place for a while since moving up to the Tacoma area and have yet to find my safe haven but THIS PLACE. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The owners are amazing, the space is quirky and adorable but most importantly... THE FOOD 🤤

We got:

Mexican Mocha - mmmmm. Chocolate, cinnamon and espresso? Hot diggidy dog it brought warmth and comfort to my taste buds

Lox & Bagel - oof, the smoked salmon was other worldly with the perfect balance of capers and smokiness

Pesto, Brie and Bacon Hand pie.... I don’t think this really needs a full description on its godliness. Just look at the ingredients!.... however, these puppies go FAST. So get there early to get your pick of delicacies.

Oops. We ate the hand pie before we could get a photo haha you’ll just have to go snag one...

My husband and I arrived at 1:00 PM on the second day they were open (they currently close at 1:30). There were three people ahead of us waiting to order and at least four orders already in work. They have some growing pains to work through to ensure they have enough food, as they ran out of many of their more popular menu items. But I am confident they will resolve these issues. I ordered their Lox bagel, which was excellent. We were the last customers of the day and because of our wait time, they also gave us a ham and swiss hand pie.

The food was excellent! No complaints on that score. We will definitely return. This is a business we want to see succeed, especially since there are so few options for places to eat breakfast on the...

Everybody knows your name…. This is a cozy, hopping, friendly, yum yum yummy cafe I happened upon. What an unexpected treat! I will be back. It’s close to my groomers but not my home. That being said I can imagine I will crave the food and atmosphere. I have one of the specials, a hand pie with goat cheese and fresh mint. 😋 It was freshly made while I waited. The balsamic reduction with the mint was divine. I just finished it and want more. Both the staff and customers were warm and welcoming. I usually get food to go but settled in to soak in the good vibes thrumming through the place. Look at the pink lid I went home with. Love it! Did I mention I will be back? 😍
