Krency's Bakery Inc — Restaurant in Washington

50 + years in the area, beloved by locals and easy to see why. Great selection, beautiful pastries, and prices that can’t be beat. I went in for a loaf of bread, which is delicious. However I got some suggestions and if you are looking for a special cookie I hear the raisin filled is amazing. Several people are clearly fans of their sugar cookies as well.

You can order same day for simple cakes and they just need a few days notice for something more elaborate and fancy. They had plenty in the case to choose from as well.

They also cater, offering trays of items like lasagna, fruits, salads and sandwiches. Additionally they will put together platters of their baked goods for you while you wait (or if you call ahead).

I’m not sure why anyone would go to the McDonald’s across the street for anything sweet when they could pick from such a wide variety of freshly baked scrumptiousness for likely half the cost. (They have grab and go savory twists...

Wish I could have tried these donuts as I had driven 1.25 hours to do so. But waiting on the only customer seemed to be a task too impossible to complete. The clerk was taking her hat, gloves, and coat off at a speed that can only be described as snail-like without an acknowledgement that there were customers. She didn't say "Be right with you" or "just a minute", just a look of disdain. Just the like employee who came from the back with a sour look on her face and once again ignored me. It doesn't take much to say "I'll get ya in just a second". I get it. I hate my job sometimes too, but at least have the decency to treat your customers with respect or let them know you'll be with them...

I made a special trip to Krency's for cookies to put on a cookie tray. The person behind the counter was so aloof and rude . No welcome or hello, only stared at me when I entered the bakery and looked at the selections. I asked about pecan tassies . The reply was "an abrupt we don't make those here " Never directed me to the other nut choices they had, I had to discover them myself. But when I asked about the price per dozen , I was told $13.80 per dozen. I thought this bakery had a good reputation and delicious product. but no product is worth this price. I will not make a special trip again. especially to be treated so rudely. Customer service...
