McDonald's — Restaurant in Washington

I love my occasional McDonald's... That being said I will never ever visit this location ever again. This has nothing to do with McDonald's as a franchise, this review reflects only the quality of service, and the quality of food at this specific location.

I will break this review into three parts:

Food quality I really tried to give this location a chance but for whatever reason, they are not able to keep the quality of food up at this location. Fries are often overcooked and over salted and taste like the oil hasn't been changed in months. Burger buns are often smashed and look very unappealing. The thing that amazed me the most is that this is consistent. Burgers quite often are not made to McDonald's standards. Mustard, ketchup, pickles and onions are often not portioned correctly. At this point it's like employees are not even trying. They no longer take any pride in their work.

Customer Service I'm not sure who to fault here... I'm not really sure if this is a management issue or if it's an individual employee issue, the only thing that I can tell you is that quality of service is consistently poor. Let's start with the fact that this location is commonly understaffed. There are never enough lines open and this location does not have kiosks that allow you to order from the lobby. On most of my visits I've observed that there is only one cashier available at any given time. Employees seem tired, over worked or just generally unenthused and unhappy about their jobs. They do not even smile when they greet you. Today I spent almost $20 and when I asked if they could give me a barbecue packet I was told she can't unless I wanted to pay $0.25 for it.

Environment For the most part the lobby is kept clean, but unfortunately customers do not have any access to napkins and/or straws. The bathrooms are usually hit or miss, they're either clean or horrible. Take your chances if you wish...

I did not want to write this review, I really didn't. Today for me was the straw that broke the camel's back, I just couldn't take it anymore. I do hope that this review finds its way to the owner or to corporate (if it's corporate-owned) because at this point you either need to consider closing that store completely or remodeling and starting from scratch. Whatever you decide to do, something needs to be done...

So I went today 6/28/2024 I’m telling you I tried giving this place a try because the first I came here it was actually nice in early January but now I’m confused check your bags before you leave I’m out a whole nugget and sauce yes just one nugget and honey mustard sauce I used the app and I’m glad I did because if I had to pay full price for a 10 piece nugget I would be mad the place only had like three to four people after 7:00pm I’m guessing because I got there at 8:00pm hoping to get full service since it’s no drive thru I know now to check the reviews before I go anywhere dealing with a fast food chain that I was hoping to be more satisfying then this after two twisted teas this is a bummer coming down waiting on the bus not checking bag I feel like they got me out 35 cents and not to add the sauce that literally comes with the deal like forreal what a nugget and sauce gonna do for the person keeping it like do people really be getting y’all like that it’s giving South Park lake monster asking for $3.50 come on I wish it was a black person in there I probably would have got an extra sauce instead of two it would have been three and had me coming back not leaving a review but forreal a nugget and two honey mustard sauce you living off...

Thought there was a drive through, but that was not the case, so embracing inside dining was the order of this visit.

Ordering system moved relatively quick, but extras were slow to catch up. Several order numbers were called while I waited to ASK about my beverage. After receiving, I selected a seat, set food before me, gave thanks and began the meal only to find no condiments. Visually absorbing panoramic interior seeking condiments, none were found... diasappointed, food was consumed without.

At meal's end, trash/crumbs were cleared away, and as I exited the establishment, salt and pepper caught my eye on wall rack under straws at far end of counter, but still NO ketchup. Oh well...

On a higher note ... the signature buttermilk chicken was quite enjoyable.

PS. For those who may wonder why I did not ask for ketchup at counter, once warm food cools down quickly in air condition surroundings and mine had already lost its warmth factor at onset of...
