I have never had such a wonderful sandwich experience as getting a Marion Barry, mother's way add mayo. I was there the week they opened and since. Mama was working the counter, making sandwiches. Creamy, spicy, savory unctuousness! It breaks my heart when I have to pass and can't buy one for any reason. Get the biggest one you can. Even if you don't eat it then, you will definitely want more later. Keep going strong Mother Rukers. See you soon from NAPTOWN, a.k.a., Annapolis. To prior reviewers, if you want a good turkey and provolone sub go to the grocery store and make your own. I'll start you bread turkey provolone. Everything has been perfect every time I visited since opening day. As summer arrives know you are in Washington, DC where you will always see some sort of something, human or otherwise. It's just a fact of living in a major Metro folks. Again, the food is...
Read moreThe subs are good here but my god the service is HORRIBLE they are ridiculously SLOW in there. You have to literally order 2 hours ahead to hopefully have your order be ready by the time you get there. They have to do better. It’s the same two employees there everyday & the bald head man get an attitude when he have a lot of sandwiches to make as if it isnt his job. My sister have a joke that you have to call them in the morning to have your order ready by evening time. This is EVERYtime I go there. That’s a turn off from patronizing this business the subs are good I can’t deny that but they are not the best ever, isn’t worth the waiting. Then the icing on the cake it’s a dog bed & two steel dog bowls on the floor next to the table where they expect customers to eat. Are you kidding? How is that sanitary? This place needs remodeling starting with the employees & then...

The manager/owner remarks about the proximity and stated anyone who ordered must move from the counter area. Minutes later, two men, extremely disheveled, walked in with no masks, conversing with each other.
The manager/owner greeted them (never greeted any of us, including the regular patron), never asked the men to put on their masks, and ALLOWED them to stand DIRECTLY at the counter, still conversing and laughing, where they make the subs.
Done. Would give ZERO stars. That is the third time the manager was there and the experience was not pleasant. She is rude, the other staff...
