Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Washington

Surprisingly this is the only location that is closest to me, now that the other Popeyes location on 16th Street Silver Spring has closed.

I have not been to this location in a long time; it has definitely changed since the 90's when I used to live in the area.

My experience yesterday was not that great. The service was slow and they got my order wrong. They only had one person behind the counter taking orders. I asked for eight biscuits and they only gave me two.

I noticed a few people not wearing masks properly when ordering. A customer tried sitting on top of a table and knocked it over causing some commotion inside the restaurant.

They were sold out of Cajun rice and green beans. That was disappointing.. But thankfully they had red beans and rice!

Food was good once they finally got my order correct! However I came across a long piece of hair in the mashed potatoes and gravy!!!! Yuck!!!

I probably won't be going back to this location until after...

While waiting for my online/mobile order to be prepared, a booster came through with filthy shopping bags filled with Tide pods, large bags of M&Ms, and Raid roach spray. He sat those nasty bags on the counter and began to negotiate with the "ladies" behind the counter (and they buy some of it). I took issue with that but even more with those nasty bags on the food counter. It was like an open air black market inside Popeye's. I thought I was being punked. I was looking around for the cameras. How is this allowed to happen? I won't go back. The place is filthy inside and out then has all that going on. I can get too salty chicken anywhere,...

I waited for over ten minutes in line before anyone even addressed me, while watching one of the women who worked stand still. I assumed that she was on break or off duty until she took my order ten minutes later. Then, upon getting my food, I was told they were closing and that I couldn't eat inside. If I'd had my order taken when the woman was first available to take it, I would've have been done eating by then and the customers ahead of me were still in the lobby eating. I did not appreciate this treatment at all and will not be going back to...
