I’ve tried reaching out to the order without success, hoping they may reach out here.
We came to visit last Sunday morning for Mother’s Day brunch after my wife had read some positive reviews and suggested it. It sounded like a great idea. Upon entering, there were several tables open. One or two had reserved signs. There was one table open that would fit our party of 5. There was no reserved sign on the table and the sign at the door said seat yourself, so we went ahead and sat down.
After situating our kids and sitting for a minute or two, we were approached by a young lady. I thought she was bringing us menus. Instead, she proceeded to inform us that there was a reservation for our particular table at 11:30 and said that if we could be done by then, we would be allowed to remain seated there. (It was 10:37 am, so this may or may not have ended up rushing us out.) Again, there was no sign or indication of a reservation as the table was clean and empty. We briefly conferred but shared that we did not want to be rushed out. She told us she could squeeze us into one of the several square four person tables that were empty. This was not an adequate solution for our party of five. She insisted she wasn’t trying to rush us off, but I don’t know how else one would define it.
Anyways, it felt very unwelcoming and unprofessional. We ended up just saying that we would come back another time and left. We had a fine Mother’s Day brunch in another local establishment where we were treated in a very courteous manner even though they were packed to the gills.
I just can’t understand with the open tables that were there, no reservation sign in place, and a policy to seat yourself, that this was the approach staff chose to take. They clearly should have put up a sign if the table was unavailable as stated (as they had done with a couple of tables). I could see how this could be missed though. They also could have quietly pushed together two of the four person tables for this other group and no one would have been the wiser.
I’m hopeful that this was a one-off experience and not the norm. We hadn’t come in to eat before but love supporting our local businesses and really wanted to try it out. As a first experience, it really soured me on the idea...
Read moreFood prep unacceptable. A course in food safety is needed. Our first time here - not sure we'll be back. Because of where we sat we had view of kitchen area. Saw a server making an order - salad-type stuff for what may have been a carry out order. Without washing her hands first I watched her pull out bins/bags of food. She reached in for lettuce, etc with her hands. She left the area, went to the pro shop, came back & continued making the salad - again without washing her hands. She touched other things - pens, checks, her pockets/apron. Then went back to putting things in the order. At this point I regretted eating my food & we left. One the plus side - servers were super friendly, it's has a nice vibe on the golf course + good menu &...
Read moreflys on the window sill. too noisy for table conversation at 10:30am Sunday. have heartburn after eating the rasp pancakes (no meat with meal.) pancakes were dense, rubbery, and tasted odd; obviously from a mix. we were not asked how any of us at the table wanted our eggs; received scrambled. Eggs were light and fluffy though...but served alone on a separate big plate. Price varied a lot from what i read online on their website. I spoke to the manager and she said the prices must be outdated on the website. She did not graciously grant us the price from the website. The decaf coffee was not that great. I was a first time customer and let management know; but I did not feel that they cared if i came back a...
