Big Franks BBQ Grill — Restaurant in Waterbury

Sept 30, 2022, my son and I went tonight for our dinner! Delicious food, generous portions, and great service! We ordered a full rack of ribs, a whole bird, sweet potato fries, onion rungs and fried mushrooms!! Delicious!! Lots of leftovers! Service was very nice and attentive!!

Went Today!! Food was delicious! Service was great! Portions were the way they used to be plentiful!

Was craving their food today.... the atmosphere has changed. The customers are also different than before... younger people and lunch crowd... fewer families... I got take out... meat portions are the same, but of course prices have gone up. Tastey chicken, delicious ribs, foot long hotdogs, the service was good and welcoming. I spent $60 today... a couple years ago it was a lot less... plenty of leftovers. The side portions are still smaller... and add up fast...

Two years ago..... Food is good... but portions are getting smaller and smaller for more money. Quality is still there... but cannot afford to bring the entire family anymore. Since the portions are so small I have to buy triple what I bought 5 yrs ago... for the same number of...

Food was good, but the overall value (price for the portion you get) was terrible. This point was observed to be true with several other, different meals my wife and I witnessed being delivered to other tables. In addition, while ordering- two different prices of items were slightly higher than presented. When I politely shared with the counter attendant about the pricing mis-presentation and unclear board arrangement, she belittled me as if I was stupid. I was not even asking her to refund me the difference. Another woman, from a couple dining there, was witnessed approaching the counter several times, and upon the last trip was very audibly complaining about her pulled-chicken sandwich being incomplete. The same woman, counter-person belittled her also saying, "oh I thought you knew how the sandwich was made." In any case, if you do still choose to visit here, read all the menu boards carefully and ask specific questions about prices and add-ons and be prepared to walk away feeling ripped-off (unless you are a millionaire or don't care about fair...

Theyve been changing mainstays on their menu, they are not the same restaurant that I have been going to for over 10 years. Very sad because I have enjoyed franks for so long but even their meats are not juicy anymore. Dry and old meats, changed cheese cubes, oily fries. Incredibly disappointed in what they have become.

It seems they are completely void of professionalism as well. They state show me a normal person who brings a garbage bag in, YOURE CORRECT YOU IMBACIL! Thats why I was so shocked WHEN YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN! I hope you have fun dealing with waterbury health department because in TELLING ME TO DO SO you violated at least half a dozen health codes and i recorded the entire incident and sent that to them. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD TELL A CUSTOMER TO BRING IN GARBAGE THROUGH A PLACE WHERE THEY ARE PREPARING AND SERVING FOOD! You guys are a disgrace to not only the food industry, but humanity.
