Bliss Vybz — Restaurant in Waterbury

So as a Jamaican it's hard for me to eat Jamaican food because it's always so off from the original taste plus how it has to be prepared means its costly. I've been in this country for over 10 years and this is the first place that I had to go out and get the food myself after some was brought to me. The jerk chicken was good and the rice and peas actually tasted like it should with anough peas in it and you know they used the right amount of coconut milk because you tasted it. I've had their curry goat before too and their snapper that was so big the meal had to be prepped in a small foil tin. To top it off, I went with my daughter sleeping and the jerk chicken needed a bit more time...I wanted it but my daughter would get too warm in my arms waiting. I told the guy there and he simply told me don't worry he'd crank the AC up so she'll be comfortable and I could sit and wait...I sure did and wasn't disappointed with my food at all. I topped my meal off with a D&G gingerbeer, an official Jamaican soft drink. Bliss vyz is good food, good people, good...

Bliss Vybz has always had delicious food but I had the pleasure of experiencing the catering services last week and was very pleased! They arrived on time and made sure everything was in place and being appropriately heated before they left. The curried goat and curried chicken were well seasoned and paired well with the white rice. The jerk chicken was authentic, smokey and delicious! The rice and peas and steamed cabbage complimented the meal and soaked up all of the flavors from the the gravies! The salmon bites were the talk of the party! They were so tender and flavorful! My kids and I were on our way back from New Britain, we all decided we wanted Caribbean cuisine. Bliss Vibes was recommended to us. Located in Waterbury. On our way in we received a warm welcome. Let me tell you I am big fan of good customer service and they were wonderful. We ordered Oxtail, fry chicken and escovitch fish /w rice and beans. Etc. We got a good portion and a good price too. The food tasted fantastic. Our Food did not take long at all. My fish was prepared upon order I love that as well. My son said his food was absolutely delicious!!.
