Connecticut Distilling Tasting Lounge — Restaurant in Waterbury

I hosted my sister’s Jack & Jill baby shower at this distillery. Approximately 60 guest attended and it was an absolute success! At first glance, you see the raw industrial charm of a working distillery, but as a designer, I immediately recognized the potential of the space. The open layout, high ceilings, and cozy yet functional atmosphere made it the perfect blank canvas for a truly unique event.

The space was incredibly spacious, allowing us to comfortably set up seating, a buffet area, and a gift table, with plenty of room for guests to mingle. Stellios and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, making sure we had everything we needed to bring our vision to life.

One thing to note is that you’ll need to cater your own food, which worked out great for us because it allowed us to customize the menu to fit the theme of the shower. The distillery provides the drinks, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The selection was fantastic, and our guests raved about the quality of the craft cocktails and other beverages.

What made this venue so special was the contrast between the industrial vibe of the distillery and the warm, festive atmosphere we created with decorations. I’ll be attaching photos to show how we transformed the space—it went from a distillery to a beautiful baby shower hall with just a little creativity.

This place is such a hidden TREASURE !!! .....if you haven't heard of this place or seen it for yourself you are absolutely missing out. We went there tonight because we had read that the Maine lobster truck would be serving lobster rolls. To our complete surprise we found this gem. We are both from Waterbury and so we just had to try " The dirty water" cocktail. Brandon, the owner and bartender, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He explained how the distilling went on in the back and up front was the bar that was all about fresh and local ingredients. The drink was fantastic. They have live music and events with food trucks happening on a regular !! I've reviewed many places but the knowledge of the owner , the great atmosphere, special touches like orchids frozen in the ice and support for the local area make this place top on my list of reviews. You have got to stop by for a drink and check online beforehand to time it with one of the food trucks with food so DELICIOUS 😋. You won't be disappointed.
