Maja’s diner — Restaurant in Waterbury

Yesterday was my first time going to Maja's diner. When you first walk in it looks beautiful. The staff was wonderful! Very kind, gave us time to check out the menu. Then the food 😲... The food was absolutely amazing!! Their hash browns or potatoes were so delicious! They had amazing flavor. I got a western omelette and also rye toast. The Omelette was incredible and the toast had butter that had some flavor to it. Absolutely delicious!! I would recommend this diner to everyone!! We sat and we were there for a long time as my friend and I were catching up. They didn't mind at all. I am so glad that I decided to try this diner!! I found a new place to go from now on!! The food here has soooooo much flavor! They don’t miss! 3/26/2025 I’m making an edit just to say you guys need to change your hrs if you’re gonna close at 12 all the time instead of 1pm. I shouldn’t be getting turned away at 11:45am when your hrs clearly say you close at 1pm. Now, if you’re closing early because it’s slow then lock the doors. Don’t let people walk in just to say you’re gonna close in 15 minutes. Makes no sense. The place was empty so what are you guys even open for? Why let people walk in at 11:45 just to say you’re closing at 12? The first time it happened it was 11:40! I’m not changing my rating but this is the second time this happens so I won’t be going...

I’ve been here twice and both times have had a great experience. The food is quick yet so well made, everyone in the restaurant, even other customers, have welcoming energy, and the menu has a variety of options to choose from. I always get breakfast ofc. The first time I had French toast, eggs and Turkey bacon. This time we had chicken and waffles & pancakes with ham & eggs.
