Cavallo's Italian Specialty Shoppe — Restaurant in Watertown

We are sadly disappointed with our Christmas Eve stuffed breads and dinners. My daughter came home after being in the hospital for 2 weeks. We decided to stay home, the 3 of us, and have stuffed breads and chicken parmesan dinners. The sausage and spinach was horrible. I added a picture to show how it was made. It consisted of mostly bread, spinach hardly found with small whole links. Olive oil squeezed out of it. The chicken parm bread was cooked with so much pepper my daughter and I both threw up. The dinners were the same as the breads. $65 down the drain and Christmas Eve dinner ruined. Very saddened and disappointed as their pizzas have been great. We looked forward to it all week. Being Italian ourselves we thought it'd be incredible. The complete opposite.after this horrible meal they didn't even have the common courtesy to say their sorry or refund our money for one of the worst meals we have ever...

I’ve been here a few times and have never been disappointed. It’s not much to look at from the outside or inside, it’s just really great food. Plenty of parking even when they’re crowded. Lots of great Italian and American deli choices. I’ve ordered ahead the few time I’ve eaten here. My order is always ready when I get there. The staff is very friendly, at times it feels like I’m back in New York. Today I got a meatball Parm grinder. Delicious sauce, seasoned meatballs, and great mozzarella. Very large for a grinder, for the second time I saved half for the next day which is out of character for me. I got my boss a roast beef with tomato and lettuce on a roll. She has eaten all over New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Her exact words were “Where did you get the sandwich from? Went in to pickup Doordash order. I waited away from the customers since I knew the order wasn't ready. The cashier asked what I was waiting for, I told her I was waiting for the DD order. She went to an older woman behind the counter and told her and that woman turned to me with a nasty look and said in a very rude, matter of fact tone "I still have 12 minutes, so!" I told her that was fine and explained briefly how DD will give the order to another driver if you aren't at the restaurant in a certain amount of time. She then shot me another dirty look while obviously mf'ing me to the younger coworker. Completely rude and nasty for absolutely no reason. If you can't handle being a Doordash restaurant, then don't do it. Don't take it out on the drivers who are trying to...
