Ordinary Joe's — Restaurant in Watertown

I went there once because I lived in the neighborhood. The fried shrimp and fries I ordered weren't bad though I had to wait a while for them. They forgot the tartar sauce the first time but then got it to me no problem.

My biggest issue was with the atmosphere. Heard there was a warm atmosphere there, but when I went only two customers who seemed friendly as I stepped in the place. The rest seemed a bit displeased with me even entering. Was a bit uncomfortable from some older men in the corner who gossiped about the fact that I was ethnic, but I brushed it off. It seems like they're used to a certain look from customers, and I may have not been that expectation. My husband went into this place while i waited in the car. I waited in the car for 27 minutes and then I call my husband, he said he was still waiting. I saw people go in after him and come out with their food. My husband said that the service person treated him very unkindly and told him to "when I get a chance" when he asked to pay for the order that she never took. This is not the first time we have been there and my friends a d co-workers frequent this place often. I am not sure why the young lady named Courtney treated my husband in such a fashion, but there needs to be a critria for treating ALL people with respect and decency. The food is great! What a great vibe, great prices, great staff and great food ! I will also have to thank the bartender for looking out for us. I had a bit to much to drink and like a lightweight I got sick outside of the bar. The bartender followed me out to the parking lot and asked me to come back and wait before driving and gave me some water to be safe.
