First off, some context on my 5-star rating. If you’re looking for the best restaurant in Watford, go up the hill to HM. If you and a few buddies want to enjoy a couple cold beers and a decent bite to eat while having a good time, Outsiders is the choice.
Outsiders is the quintessential oilfield bar and grill - it’s loud, brash and fun. The wait staff is friendly and can be a little saucy, but they know their clientele and let’s face it, that clientele is the Bakken.
Currently your evening bartenders are Ally and Monica. Both are outstanding, but run a very different bar atmosphere. Monica (usually Sunday and Monday) is kind and professional and runs a bar that is a cordial place to enjoy a beverage. Ally (Thursday-Saturday) at this point is pretty much a Bakken legend. Both can mix a drink with the best and absolutely will send you down the road glad you were there.
Food at Outsiders is appropriately priced and is good value.
My favorite choices on the menu are: Ribeye- nice value and a good piece of meat outright. Texas Jalapeño Burger Wings- buffalo sauce, Cajun dry rub and lemon pepper all are good choices Street Tacos - a great way to get some food in your stomach while enjoying a cold beer Specials- Darlene (the owner) puts a lot of care into these specials and they don’t disappoint. Friday night special usually is a surf and turf that’s a nice way to wrap up a week.
Outsiders has a cordoned off family section which is a little less loud. That same section also can be used to throw private parties. A good friend had his 60th birthday party held there and it turned out very well.
I have been a regular for years and always feel like family when I come in. I just ate there this afternoon and look forward to the next time I can eat there.
All in all, Outsiders is my favorite...

After I was done with first half she was cleaning table right in front of me never made eye contact or she would had seen my tea glass was empty I even made it a point to suck on the ice to get her attention but to no avail. She walk up to register and talked with other 2 servers stayed up there while I finished my meal still sucking on my ice I finally put my cup down kinda, hard and she finally looked over an came and asked would I like more tea well duh yes I would. If u ask why I go there its, because it's close by and late so I hope for a,quick meal haha. None of the times I been in has it been busy. And not one time have I ever seen anyone who is in charge. Would not recommend but not a lot of choices in Watford but one day...
Read moreI ordered a Philly wrap and instead of fries and potatoe salad asked if I could substitute those two items for cheese curds they said no problem. I picked it up and was charged $21. $14 for a normal size tortilla with little beef, peppers, and cheese and absolutely ZERO flavor and also $6 for cheese curds that looked like tootsie rolls and cooked so long there was hardly a hint of cheese left. Not only that, they serve ranch with the curds in a little plastic sauce cup and put that in the to-go box. There is probably a 6 year old reading this that can tell the chef what happens to plastic when you dump 350 degree oil on plastic, that's right melted the plastic cup ruining anything that was edible. Not a fan of eating melted plastic stuck to already inedible food. Will not...
