Keek's — Restaurant in Watkins

We learned about this place a couple months ago and on a whim, had to check it out. Sum it up in one word?... heck no!! You can't come close. This place is a tiny gem in the middle of nowhere USA, MN (no offence intended, because I live inside a 20 mile radius of also nowhere). Owned by Colin and Drea, who we've gotten to know over the last couple months, are committed to gathering the absolute best ingredients, and somehow combining them all like culinary wizards to tantalize and amaze your taste buds in ways only a fine dining experience can do... but wait, without that fine dining cost. I could try to explain, but you just have to check it out yourselves. We love having a place like this close to us, and frequent it. Weather you dine in or take out, you won't be disappointed. Stop in, check them out and their daily specials. Colin is a culinary genius and takes great pride in providing you the best meal for your value... And he will stop and talk to you and ask you how you like it. Don't be put off by the simple decor... the food will knock...

We were passing through and this popped up under our searches of places near by. It doesn’t look like much, but We decided to try it as we like little diners. It was so good!!!Our four picky kids who don’t usually finish their food, all finished their meals. The burgers are amazing, so are the onion rings which use a sweet onion and tempura like batter. The pizza was also super tasty. The fries are real, everything fresh and homemade. And yes, the coleslaw is as good as everyone says with its homemade pickles. We will visit again for sure.

My husband and I went to Keek's for lunch with no proper knowledge other than he had take out pizza once in the past. He told me it was amazing and I completely agree with him! It was hot and cheesy and the crust was perfectly thin and crisp. There are specials available for every day and on Sundays you can choose from any of the specials. The wings were large and the Buffalo sauce was perfect. We had a table of eight ladies next to us with a variety of orders including a pizza. The owner came by their table and ours to make sure everything was great. He was very personable and aimed to please. We will definitely dine there again and I recommend that you check it out too!
