China Cook — Restaurant in Watsontown

my friends. you may look upon photos of this glorious restaurant and think: is it good? it’s in rural PA, and looks like an older establishment. I am here to tell you as a newer resident of Watsontown, my boyfriend and I have gotten it almost every single weekend since we’ve moved. We live just down the road. they’re great about telling you exactly when it’ll be done. I’ve never gotten there and been asked to wait, and it never takes long. a maximum of 30 minutes in my personal experience. definitely worth a stop if you’re going through town or debating what chinese place to get from nearby.

What happened? Did you get a new cook? This was my go to Chinese place for years. The time before last the food was awesome as usual. Last night, one look, and I knew it wasn’t the same. Very bland! The pork friend rice was unseasoned. A few pieces of meat. No onion, egg, or anything else. The dumplings looked, and tasted frozen. Nothing in them, but meat. The wrappers are store bought. General Taos looked and tasted like it came out of a vending machine. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookie. If they had Chinese take out in prison, this is what it would taste like. I...

I give this place 3 stars because the food is good. Nothing to rave about. Simply prepared and they've cut back on portion size from when they first opened.

Their fried rice is bland. They don't offer BBQ Boneless Pork, which is a favorite of mine. I asked why, they said- it cost too much to keep in stock. Ok, but if people are willing to pay for it????

Service is good and the staff are friendly when I did go in. The place seems clean, plenty of parking around. But I prefer the longer drive to Jade Palace in Milton, where portions are bigger, more flavorful, well prepared and they...
