The good- The restaurant and lobby are really beautiful. Everyone who worked there was super nice. The bad- everything else. LOL. I have never stayed in a hotel this crazy. It was just GROSS. I wouldn't even know where to begin. It is an older building- but it felt more like a half way house than a rustic inn. Our room(s) was grubby- there were unidentifiable stains on the walls, lamp shades, carpets (IN THE BATHROOM!). The carpets were a patchwork of well worn berber - and by well worn I mean holes. I felt like I was taking a gamble with my health walking across the the floor in bare feet. Where as amenities are concerned they offered a miniture hershey bar sized soap and shampoo that really came in like a katsup packet. It was equivocal to things you get in county jail. They did hve a large selection of cable TV channels and the beds weren't too bad. The website is deceiving because it' really well made and have only 1 picture demonstrating a nicer room. I hate to bash this hotel- because the staff really was pretty nice, but I would strongly recommend finding another...
Read moreMy wife and I went last night with some family members. 1st off, the last time I was there, they had a decent sized menu. This time, there only 1 page front and back. 1 steak, 1 burger, 1 cheesesteak and 2 fish meals. There were a few other choices. I ordered the fish sandwich, thinking the fish would be a good portion like most places that offer a fish sandwich (almost fills the plate). I thought it would come on a big sandwich bun but it came out in a hoagie roll just barely sticking out over the top of the bun. I also ordered fries at an extra expense. I got maybe 12 fries. Usually when I leave there, I'm stuffed. I left still hungry. My wife ordered the fish basket. It cost $1.00 more than mine and she got about the same size fish and a very small amount of fries. Don't get me wrong, the food was still good. Just displeased with the amount of food received for the price. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I would have gotten a bigger, better meal for same price by going to Haywood's in Muncy and been full...
Read moreThe first sign something was going to go wrong, was there was no one at the desk. I had to call the hotel on my cell to get someone to come to the desk to check me in!. my reservation was not right but the hotel was not full and no issue getting a room. the desk person offered no directions no assistance or map. I walked down very dark halls with many turns to finally find the room. the overall advertisement stated the rooms were better equipped. well not the one I stayed in.I got the low priced room, and that is what I got. clean but in need of renovation, and zero amenities, no hair dryer no iron, no refrigerator, microwave, just an old style 19" tv and a coffee pot. the central ail consisted of a floor fan! no temperature controls at all unless you upgrade to a suit is what I was told. if you want to pay a lot more from what I paid $70 to $199 you get more but not better. will not stay again, very poorly managed, but it was clean and one night was tolerable in...
