Super disappointed in this place. My parents who live in town brought me and my daughter's here tonight for the prime rib dinner and they talked it up how it was so good. I was excited to go there because they said the prime rib was good and I love a good prime rib. Got there and we're seated, I immediately noticed it was kind of cold in the room. My kids were cold enough that they refused to take off their jackets which is super rare. The server came over and she wasn't very friendly, it was super off putting from the get go. She took our drink orders but was super impatient waiting for me to talk with my almost 3 year old that she walked away without getting anything for her. She brought our drinks, never asked what to she could get my other daughter and walked off. About 10-15 minutes later we had to flag her down to take our order, which she did but seemed super bothered by it. Food came out about 15ish minutes later and I could tell that the prime rib wasn't going to be as good as my parents talked it up to be. They also got one to split and immediately my mom said that its never looked like this before. They were both very fatty, like overly. She was upset about it and my dad asked if she wanted to send it back but she just kept it and they ate it. She barely had any of it though. Mine was very meh, nothing to write home about and definitely not something I'd drive 20 miles to come back to. The baked potato was under cooked and still very hard, my daughters butter noodles had a weird taste to them and she didn't eat them and my other daughter barely had any of her chicken tenders. Our waitress didn't come back to check on us until everyone was already done, we never got any drink refills from her. We had to get another waitress to come over and get us ketchup and refills. When she did come back she got some boxes and then came back and just kind of threw the bill on the table and walked away. Needless to say the service was horrible, food was mediocre at best and the atmosphere was...

This was our first — and unfortunately, our last — visit to this restaurant. We arrived later in the evening with our children after a local pumpkin fest, hoping for a relaxing meal. From the start, the experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The person who ended up being our server — and surprisingly, the manager — made inappropriate remarks about why we were out so late with kids, and even commented on our child having candy, suggesting it would make him too hyper. That was none of her business and set a poor tone right away. While the fish fry we ordered was good, the service overall was unacceptable. At one point, the manager was chatting with another staff member and cursed loudly — within earshot of our kids. Though she later apologized, it was too little, too late. The unprofessional behavior continued — after we paid, I witnessed her retrieving the bill and openly discussing the tip amount with another staff member, loudly enough that I could hear every word. That kind of behavior is extremely inappropriate and made us feel even more unwelcome.

Before leaving, we stepped out to the patio to get a quick look around. The back area was swampy with a lot of mosquitoes. While I held the door open to help my kids back inside, a staff member rudely snapped at me to close it — ignoring the fact that I was clearly trying to assist my children to get back in the restaurant.

Overall, the staff were rude, unprofessional, and made us feel like a burden rather than guests. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Very poor customer service and an uncomfortable experience. Definitely...

I have driven by this place many times, always wondering if it was for golfers or a place to eat. I decided to go there for breakfast and initially when we walked in at 10:45 was told to hurry if I wanted breakfast because they stopped at 11:00. Normally, I would just walk out and go to a place that did not restrict my relaxed morning with a time limit. What is this McDonald's?!! You can't make me eggs at 11:05? So, I took my chance that I could order my food in under 10 minutes. I had the special chicken fried steak and eggs with potatoes. I would say it is definitely a step up from a traditional breakfast place with the view, food, and plating. Clean, tasty, and well made. The lady at the counter initially reminded me of Flo at Mel's diner as being someone who was a little rough on the edges. As it turned out, though, the more we interacted with her, the more we realized she was a friendly and warm-hearted person. She shared some history and gave us a full pot of coffee to drink as we sat outside watching the golfers diff the ball and make terrible drives! It was fun to watch. I will be going back to try lunch and dinner because they had specials every night, which...

Went with friends to Volo Antigue Mall. This was on the way home I me and had over 4 star reviews. There is a golf course next store and i think people cone in after golf. The menu theme is around golf. When walking in, it looks very unassuming. You seat yourself. You definitely take in the decor as vintage and bare bones. But let me talk about the food. I had the special of the chicken salad, with pear. It was not salty, I got it on marbled rye with a side of creamy coleslaw. One other person got the same thing with sweet potato fries, and we shared our sides. After eating, I realized that they forgot to put the roasted pecans in, which I mentioned. She was going to alert the cook for the next customer. It would have made it even better, but it was still very good. The pears were diced and a little crunchy and very flavorful in the dish. The other person got a Buffalo chicken wrap with homemade chips. The chips came hot, and they were huge. Obviously, homemade and a star on the table. The sweet potato fries were crunchy, not greasy, and cooked perfectly. Prices were right and fair. If we are out in this direction again, I will definitely be back.
