First time here. Came with a friend. Passed by a few times and always wanted to stop — today was the day. It's a small, cute-looking drive-in. The place looks well cared for. Got greeted by a nice young woman. I ordered the root beer float, and he got the Black Cow. They use Cedar Crest Ice Cream, which I think is high quality. The float came in a glass mug and looked amazing — and it tasted excellent. To me, the Black Cow looked a bit watery (overmixed), but he enjoyed it. It was rainy, and we got the only picnic table that was covered. There were plenty of other picnic tables on the grassy areas across the parking lot. Don't know much about the food, but would definitely come back for the root beer float.

John's is a small long-running family establishment gem of an eatery in Waukesha. When in season you have to stop for there Friday fish fry, it is phenomenal. Awesome root beer that has a hint of vanilla flavor to it. Very friendly staff and I have never ordered anything off the menu that I didn't like.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jhon's Root Beer Stand, a delightful establishment that left me thoroughly impressed with their refreshing root beer and outstanding customer service. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place had something special to offer.

First and foremost, the root beer served at Jhon's Root Beer Stand was absolutely fantastic. It had a rich, creamy flavor that was both nostalgic and satisfying. The root beer was perfectly carbonated, striking a balance between effervescence and smoothness. Each sip was a delightful experience, and it complemented the hot dogs and other treats available on the menu perfectly.

However, what truly made my visit memorable was the exceptional service provided by Manny, one of the stand's outstanding employees. From the moment I approached the counter, Manny greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm for his work. His knowledge of the menu and the different root beer options was impressive, and he was more than willing to offer recommendations based on my preferences.

Manny's attention to detail was evident as he carefully prepared my root beer, ensuring that it was served at the perfect temperature with just the right amount of foam. He took the time to explain the unique qualities of Jhon's Root Beer and even shared some fascinating trivia about its history. Manny's passion for the root beer craft shone through, and it elevated the overall experience, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

Not only was Manny efficient in taking and preparing orders, but he also went above and beyond to make each customer feel valued. He engaged in friendly conversations, making me feel like a regular customer even though it was my first visit. Manny's dedication to providing exceptional service was evident as he promptly addressed any questions or concerns I had, ensuring that I had a memorable time at Jhon's Root Beer Stand.

In conclusion, Jhon's Root Beer Stand exceeded my expectations in every way. The refreshing and flavorful root beer, combined with the friendly and attentive service provided by Manny, made it a truly delightful experience. I highly recommend visiting Jhon's Root Beer Stand and experiencing the exceptional service firsthand. Manny's dedication and passion for his work are truly commendable and add an extra layer of enjoyment to the...

Great root beer, lemonade, and fries, that I will agree on. Alas the rest of the food food we tries was nothing to brag about. The hot dogs were nothing special, you can find a similar experience at the nearest Kwik Trip. The chilli and "nacho cheese" tasted like Hormel and cheese wiz (I think that's an insult to cheese wiz). The BBQ aka sloppy joe and pulled pork sandwich reminded me of Chow hall food (think crappy cafeteria on a scant budget). The food experience here was nothing special, nothing you can't make at home in 20 minutes, which is faster than the service we received, for a quarter of the price. I understand it's a small kitchen, but that's a touch too long for that quality of food. And I also I understand many people enjoy this establishment. I respect that, to each their own. In fact, I used to enjoy such culinary delights myself. As a family man, now I won't pay for something I can make better at home for cheaper...

Came here for the first time with my daughter today while we were in the area looking for somewhere to eat. We ordered a hot dog, Italian sausage, fries and a rootbeer. The hot dog and the Italian sausage was terribly bland and tasted like they both were left in boiling water all day. The sausage was super soft, almost falling apart and had a single piece of green pepper, also incredibly soft with no flavor like it had also sat in a water bath all day. Not to mention the marinara on it had ZERO flavor. The hot dog was a weird color (like yellowish/light brown - never seen a hot dog that color before!) My daughter took one bite and was like "Nope!" Their "famous" rootbeer was not cold and was almost flat. 😳 The only positives were that the fries were crispy and the girl that took our order was nice. We wanted to get ice cream after our meal but after our experience, we ended up going to Oscars...
