Las Plazas — Restaurant in Waverly

My wife and I have been going to Laz Plazas for around six years now. Over the last year we have noticed a decline in both the service and the quality of the food. We have been charged for items we didn't receive, had orders messed up, etc. However last night (7/8/19) was the single worst experience we've ever had there or any restaurant period! We ordered fajitas del mar and parriada patron. When the food came to our table the smell was off. Both of these dishes come with a fish fillet draped over them which were the source of the odor. When we tasted the fish, we both quickly spit it out I to our respective napkins. THEY HAD COOKED AND SERVED US SPOILED FISH!!!! when we brought this to the attention of the manager he didn't even want to smell it and acted as if he already knew! He offered to prepare us something else but at that point we had both lost our appetites as well as any remaining faith in this restaurant. I had to give this awful place a one star only because the star rating doesn't have a zero or negatives. We will NEVER BE BACK!!...

I ordered a small fajita texacana to eat for my lunch. I asked for a regular fajita texacana to go for my hubby's dinner tonight. After 30 mins they brought me the biggest plate of fajitas. I explained my order all over again. Evidently my server had very little understanding of English so he called another server over and I explained for the third time and they still brought me a large order. At this point I was starving and thought I'd just bring the leftovers for my dinner. They brought me my to go order bagged up and tied. Along with a receipt for a "custom order". $53.00! I was running late for an appointment so I paid and left. Just got home and they sent me a double fajita texacana order but no tortillas. I've been here in the past & the food was great (though they had flies). We just ate there again last week, & there wasn't a single fly. The entire place looked slightly cleaner (even though it wasn't super dirty before). Our server was friendly without being annoying. The food all came out quickly, and it was just as good as before... maybe even better. I was also worried that they might not have high chairs, since the last time I was there I was pregnant and didn't think to check. It would have been fine if they didn't have them, but no worries. Their queso dip is really good, as was the kids' chicken tenders (according to my daughter). I honestly don't remember what I got since I was back & forth deciding between 2 or 3 things.
