What an incredible experience I had at Yo!Boca!Taco! I started my trek to Western MA and realized I forgot to gas up so I went 10-15 minutes up route 20 from 95, where I would just hop on the Pike from Natick. Ended up making my day stopping in here to gas up and meeting owner K.C. (spelling?) What an incredible guy! I then noticed they were prepping all fresh food for the day with meats coming right out of the oven from their incredible chef, Ingrid! Authentic music playing which was a great vibe. Ingrid is latina, where authenticity is clicking on all cylinders across the board, as she brought out delicious tray after tray of fresh food. Would have never expected a Mobil gas station would lead to a taco option I have been craving for a week. I could eat everything on their delicious menu daily as I love tacos, and the only options are these local over-rated chains like Chipotle and Anna's Taqueria. They are only 3 months old, so they will continue to get their name out there outside of local word of mouth. Unsure if their strategy is to keep the signage subtle, but once signage improves they will attract even more casual drive-bys from out of town with the massive amount of traffic driving by there all day. I also loved to hear that their food is outselling two awful life crutches with scratch tickets and cigarettes. They are changing the game here! Go in and meet them, and enjoy incredible food! I almost forgot to mention K.C. also demanded I take a breakfast burrito at no charge. Who gives away a burrito?! K.C. doesn't hesitate because he is there to make the day of anyone who walks into his business. A Cali vibe type of caring, genuine guy, with also the high quality "street food" you can grab while on the go, instead of pulling through the drive thru of the golden arches! ha Looking forward to popping back in and supporting this business consistently in the future as I am out this way a few times a month. The authentic food is incredible, K.C. & Ingrid are "salt of the earth", and did I say you can fill up your gas tank as well?! Thank you, Yo!Boca!Taco! for the A+ experience across the board! ...
Read moreA quasi speakeasy taco stand inside a gas station - I hesitate to share it because you hate for these gems to get overrun, but at the same time you want them to make a lot of money because they're so great. It's a big thumbs up for me. I got the three beef Barbacoa tacos and the meat was outstanding. They had Birria on the menu but it wasn't available today, and no Al Pastor to my disappointment. However the taste of the Barbacoa more than made up for it. The only thing I change is for the tortillas to automatically be corn tortillas, instead they used flour tortillas which I don't really like for street style tacos. Very friendly and fast staff. If you don't know you'd never see it or check it out. People in Massachusetts aren't used to good food coming out of gas stations, but having lived in Los Angeles for 25 years I'm familiar with the excellent food stands that can be in these little stations. Some of the best tacos, Indian food, and Filipino food I've ever had were from gas stations ! Very much looking forward to trying out other things on their small but solid menu. There is A small counter space for seating in the window, also a small seating area outside on a little side yard ,otherwise most people are taking it to go. This...
Read moreIt is a proven fact and scientific even, that Wayland is the most boring town in all of Massachusetts. There’s a complete and utter lack of any sort of personality along this weird stretch of Route 20 and Route 27. But about a year ago a star started to shine bright. The smell of salsa and frijoles crept across the tree filled lanes. Children stared to the sky, thinking of nacho cheese and tortillas. The people of Wayland finally had their prayers answered. Yo!Boca!Taco! had arrived. These culinary delights are some of the best that this Arizona transplant has ever had. The meats are savory, the vegetables freshly crunch, and the tortillas are heated to the perfect temperature. I’ve eaten just about every meal from this place possible. And every single meal has been perfection. I’ve brought my daughters here and showed them what real food looks like. Not reheated frozen Sysco Systems garbage. But rather, delicious authentic food made from the heart. Yo!Boca!Taco!, you have given me something I didn’t think I would ever find. Culinary Bliss. Oh, and amazing prices on gas...
