Yesterday I went through the Golden Chick drive thru and ordered to of the catfish/shrimp meals. Got up to the window, paid and received my drinks. I was then told to pull around the store and they'll bring it out to me. Nothing unusual here.
10 minutes later(while the ice is melting in my drinks watering them down), my food was finally brought out to me and I headed home, which is a 10+ minute drive for me. Unpacked the meals to find they provided no sauces. The picture of the meal at the drive thru shows each meal should come with two different kinds of sauce.
So called up the store and told them about it. They said I could drive back and pick up the sauces. No bueno, if I did that it'd be about 40 minutes from the time I received the food to the time I finally got back to my food with the sauces they should have provided in the first place.
Then I was handed off to a second person on the phone, I said I'd be satisfied if they comp'd a meal in the future to make up for botching these two $10 meals. I heard the guy talking to Jimmy the manager and then he told me a meal was too much to ask for missing sauces, I could have like a cookie or a tender or something. Told em nah, I'll just leave some reviews of my experience and not come back.
So after wasting 5 minutes on the phone with these people, I finally got to my meal. The rolls are really good, but that's about all this $10 fast food meal had going for it. The cole slaw flavor was weak, the mashed potatoes was a congealed scoop with a layer of gravy skin on it, the shrimp was pretty good but I'm just not sure corn meal battered shrimp is great. No the catfish, bad. It doesn't seem like actual filets. It seems like really thin layers of fish mush formed in the shape of a filet. They really need to make sure they provide the sauces to cover up just how bad...
Read moreThis Place is a mess. I am 22 and have multiple years of frycook experience. As someone a little older, I would recommend that any high schoolers or young men and women steer clear of this entry level job. They will not contact you with a proper start date, they will not let you know even a day in advance. The staff were extremely un-professional. When I say this, I mean the lowest of the low. I showed up to start working here, after waiting 3 days for a definitive time to come in for my FIRST shift. (I ended up being told to come in whenever by someone who wasn't a manager because they couldn't even provide a real time.) The employees said the manager needed to tell me what time to come in. (The same person I waited 3 days to hear from) i also called the store the day before my start date. Approximately 11-12 times. (I had to eventually walk to the location to get an answer, only to discover the employees were sitting on their phones & ignoring the calls I had made.) All I wanted was my start time. I showed up the next day at noon (the time I had set for myself after getting no answer) and the manager still wasn't there. Her employees said she needed to be there at 12. She wasn't. And the cooks and staff took no initiative in getting me started. I walked out and took an apprenticeship for an electrician in my family. Long story short, this place has the worst application process i've ever been a part of, including the military. The lack of even the smallest and miniscule attention to detail is sad. DO. NOT. APPLY.
(Edit, to the owner who finally replied) You're the Owner. Do something about it instead of sending me some link to a corporate website that won't matter. You, your managers, and your junior staff are all truly bottom of the barrel. Should have expected that from the worst fried chicken in...
Read moreWe called in 2 separate orders. One with 2 salads. On one of the salads we asked for no carrots because i am unfortunately allergic to carrots. Everything looked fine when I opened my salad and put the dressing on and took a few bites. When I mixed it around the salad there was carrots buried in there. It looked like they put carrots on, remembered there wasnt supposed to be carrots, took them off and mixed the rest around. It's not just a simple mistake. Thats cross contaminated. I didnt ask for no carrots because I dont like them. I asked for carrots because I am allergic and it causes my throat to swell up. I work at a doctors office and cant just stop to go have them correct it. So 7 bucks for a salad I cant eat Edit: my coworker called up there for me while I had to take benadryl because I have already started breaking out in hives and my throat itches just from the few bites. The manager asked if anyone had gotten sick and they didnt know what to say. They said they could have easily made a fresh salad that hadn't touched carrots but it did not happen. Nothing else was said to resolve, no refund no...
