Our First time going was a few weeks ago with some new friends. Both my wife and I spent 10+ years in the service industry and can understand off nights.
Our table wasn’t created for more than 10 minutes, and by not greeted I mean not even someone saying I’ll be with you in a few. Once we were greeted we ordered drinks and 2 appetizers. Drinks took another 15 minutes and one of the appetizers never came. Food was not great we had the pork chop and a burger. Pork chop was thin and my wife said the burger was very well done and bland, our waitress never bothered to ask how it was. All that to say we did not complain to a manager or to the waitress as sometimes there are off nights and things happen.
The reason for the review is that once the checks came for my wife and I and then our friend and his wife, the waitress took both cards and ran our card for both tabs (similar bills). We discovered this a week or so later and called. Management took several days to get back to us and then the owner (John) asked his manager to ask us to give the name and number of the people we were with so they could call and charge them. I have never heard a restaurant do this especially when they were the ones who made the mistake. At any professional establishment I have been a part of, we would eat the $70 mistake that our staff made and Learn a lesson.
John didn’t bother speaking to me personally (although the manager implied he was in the room with her) they did not offer any kind of incentive to return or ask how our experience was , his manager explained these things can get confusing. Our checks were not complicated and there were 4 people. Our server was not a new server by any stretch, no need to drop a name as serving is hard enough but having split many a check, it’s pretty straightforward for a 4 top. I’ll cap this off by saying again mistakes happen but the manner in which the mistakes are corrected is what matters and John the owner did a very poor job of handling this situation at his establishment. We will not be suggesting or returning to Beefmasters. (I’m well aware this does not affect them but perhaps this review will Keep someone else from attempting to go and encounter a...
Read moreMy family and I went to this place a few days ago. First I have to say that it was good. They have a nice setup, clean building, an outdoor area (we sat inside so I cannot comment much on that) and a bar area. Big open setup. Mike our waiter was tremendous. Attentive, prompt and polite. The hostess was very polite, there was a another waitress (a bit older) who seemed stressed and kept talking to the hostess and seemed to stress her out a bit. Ordering was simple and the food came out fairly quickly for a party of 6. So on to the food. So my wife and I had the 8 oz steak dinner. My kids had cheeseburgers and a steak meal. Now all the steaks were cooked perfectly and the burgers where cooked well but still juicy and not dried out. Their hamburgers buns had a buttery crisp to it. The only thing was the food seemed to be lacking seasoning. They looked great and were cooked great but certainly needed some salt, the fries the kids had seemed to be limp and not seasoned at all (I did try their food as well). I had the green beans and they were really bland. Almost as if they came from a can or bag of frozen green beans. My wife had the baked sweet potato. All though a little on the small side she loved it. Like I said before, the steaks and burgers looked and were cooked great, just really needed some seasoning. The salad bar was good. Nothing too fancy but certainly had all that I wanted. This place has a ton of potential and I really hope it can take it to the next level. It seems to already be a popular spot and I hope it continues to grow. For me it was just missing that something “special” that makes them better then rest and that’s what I’m looking for when paying their price point. I’m sure I will try this place again and I am looking forward to...
Read moreOur first time and last time eating here, we were seated and we waited 15 minutes for one of the multiple waitresses to come to our table. This place was not crowded or busy at all, the Super Bowl was playing at the time. We placed the drink orders Tea and Water.. and we ordered the Trio appetizer, very cold upon finally arriving at the table! We ordered the food, 1 filet migon, and 2 ribeyes. The filet could have been cooked longer, the ribeyes were stringy and flavorless, the 2 baked potatoes were so cold that the margarine wouldn’t melt! The soup and salad bar was bare, and the soup had nothing but liquid left in the containers! The salad bar was scarce and the cheese was empty as well as several other items. So…. Reluctantly we went through the process of trying to order a dessert (it was our daughter’s birthday) dinner and we settled on the worst Texas Sheet Cake ever, it was so gritty and the ice cream was the only thing eatable! Our waitress asked if we wanted to go containers because we clearly didn’t eat our food, we declined the offer because clearly we didn’t eat it in the restaurant, we’re certainly not going to eat it at home! Total of $145 and we left to go get food somewhere else! Next time you want a decent steak, drive into Fort Worth, this place is like ordering from a Denny’s! I was told to message them about the visit and I did explain everything and they haven’t responded to rectify the situation at all, this says a lot about how they treat...
