I just ate at this restaurant today for lunch, and I couldn't have been more impressed. An "open gate" symbolizes they are open, which is Thursday through Saturday. The chef, Ingrid, is actually from Germany, and immigrated nearly 60 years ago. She states that her cooking is "just as my mother taught me", and also adds that it is more authentic than what you will find in modern day Germany. Reservations required since they only have five or six tables so plan to call several weeks ahead of when you wish to visit. Dinner is a selection of about seven entrees made fresh.
