10/10 on American Chinese food, and I’m from NYC. I am actually a blogger on social media and a chef. I am from NY And American Cantonese and Szechuan was all around me growing up. This by FAR surpasses any of the Chinese food I have eaten in the last seven years since moving to Vermont , then to mass, now here to SW Va. I could go on about flavor, timing , and service but I’ll spare you the even more drawn out review and just saw it’s all VERY good. The food has a really good flavor. I suggest , if you order and are expecting spicy food, ask them to make it to the hottest of their ability, (trust me you won’t die ) and try the hot and sour soup. It’s perfect. I didn’t even have to add hot sauce, sesame oil, or anything, it was perfect,. We will definitely be back, thanks!

Good local spot in the most unlikely place. Stopped in on Sunday afternoon around 1:30, not busy and we were the only table. We ordered General Tso's, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Cream Cheese Wonton, and Shrimp Egg Rolls. The food was freshly made and served hot, large portions. Food quality was good but taste was average. Atmosphere was good as was the service, very nice people. Prices were about what we expected, 46 dollars for 3 meals with drinks, extra egg rolls, and the wontons. We would definitely eat here again if in the area and wanting Chinese, probably wouldn't go out of the way to travel here and eat though. Worth a try if you're nearby.

Delicious!! Hands-down the best Chinese takeout in the area... Everything is made fresh when ordering, and the prices/portions are perfect. Bring cash, as that is all they accept. Update: Went back for a 2nd meal last week, and it was not nearly as good. The beef was so over-velveted that it had the texture of banana, and everything was swimming in a corn-syrup heavy "sauce". Yuck... I'm not sure if I went during an off time, or they have a new cook, or if I just got lucky on my first visit. (I'm probably not going back, but will update this review again if I do.)

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant, but I moved & hadn't been in nearly 5 years. I was so disappointed to see the dining area was closed. There is a huge plexiglass wall with a hole so small none of the food can be passed through it where the register used to be - food must be handed around the barrier. There was frequently a man sitting at one of the tables cleaning fresh snow peas when I used to visit. I didn't even see him in the restaurant - nor any of the children who were so often present before. The woman working the front counter may have said 5 words to me & she did not appear happy to be there. The lack of love played out in the food which was not near as flavorful as I remember. The pork fried rice was extremely bland & borderline crunchy! The spring rolls I ordered were microscopic! The shrimp with curry was in a brown sauce & I could not taste curry at all. The shrimp & veggies were cooked perfectly, but definitely should not be listed on the menu as 'curry'. I probably won't return to...

I would probably have been more appreciative of this place if they would have 1 person that spoke English. I got the chicken with peas, carrots and cashews with a big compacted rice mound. It was good but I like Sakura's better. It just had a different taste. There was a steady flow of about 15 people ordering General Pow's (spelling?) Chicken. I asked most everyone what they were getting because this was mine and Mom's first time. Everything was nice, clean and easy to order. I liked it but I'm not sure if I will go again. If someone could explain what you were ordering I'd probably go back sooner. I'm just a southern boy with country taste... but I do like to try...
