Grand Shanghai Buffet — Restaurant in Webster City

My husband and I went there today around 2:20pm for a late lunch with our newborn and 2 year old. Got to the counter the woman asked how many we said 2 adults and a 2 year old. Without punching in anything into the computer she says 40 dollars. No tax... but the highest price on their menu inside said $15.15 and that was for dinner prices. She never asked about drinks. There was no children's prices displayed so we asked how much for the 2 year old. (most places charge $2-$3) She goes 7.50. So we immediately stopped in our tracks as that made no sense, no where ever charges that much for a 2 year old not to mention the math wasn't mathing. So we decided to just get a refund that she slammed onto the counter with an attitude and we went somewhere else. Seems to me that business was slow so they made up their own price for us when we walked in. Especially since she didn't give us a reciet or even ask if we wanted one, but I guess how could you get a reciet when nothing was punched into...

All you can eat, good food at a good price. Usually quite and not too crowded. But you do want to hit the buffet at the right time. They have special lunch prices and as they open at 11 the food is always fresh then. If you go for supper, you'll want to go around 6. Before then you will most likely be getting what was out since lunch, but by 6 they are refilling with fresh food. and if there is food missing they are very nice and willing to go make what you want if you are willing to wait for it. It's run by a family and they are very friendly, the wife recognizes my husband and me and even remembers what we like the most and if it's not out she will say "it's coming" before we even ask 😅 and also remembers our drink order. They also do take out that you can either call and order or come in and "build a box"...

Just went here. I highly do not recommend! We have 5 kids and 2 adults! We paid 116 dollars. When we first got here the lady had an attitude treating us like we were trash. Then we sit down and kids went to go get food and tried to eat it. You could tell it was old and hard so they moved there plates like I told them to the empty table next to us and I told them to wait for fresh! The lady that had attitude to begin with walked up yelling ur waisting to much food. Then she went and got another guy and they were both screaming at us in front of my kids!in front of everyone in there! Completely embarrassed! I will never come back. We had to ask for drinks but they wouldn't give us any...
