Took the kidlet out for a dad / daughter lunch, ended up with alfredo and meatballs (what a weirdo lol) and the tortellini with blackened shrimp with zucchini. Service was excellent; our waitress was attentive and friendly, her name was definitely a reflection of her demeanor, so that was much appreciated Honestly its probably one of the best places in clay county to eat, I'd put their food up to par with the ritzy itallian places, if not, even better. The seasoning and cook was perfect on the shrimp, so many places around here cook something so simple to rubbery death, it compliments their tortellini quite well, the zucchini was also fantastic, still crunchy and seasoned deliciously, my "only" gripe is that the tomatoes could use some blistering / charring You can tell the sauces are heavily cream based; they have a nice velvety thickness that actually saturates into the pasta, opposed to what seems to be a new standard with most itallian restaurants of being visibly sopping with oil and broken before you can finish eating.. Glad you guys are around, for sure look foreward...
Read moreWorst management in Wedowee. Tonight we sat down for dinner with 4 adults and 5 kids at 6:15, after waiting 20 minutes for a table. We were served dinner at 6:45 and not until after we started eating we were asked “did you read the sign” multiple times in a degrading tone—no we did not. We were juggling enough humans. They tell us they’re closing at 7 and we need to be out. The manager then continues to warn us every 5 minutes, telling us there’s a “HUGE” crowd of 40 people lmao. The least they could have done was warn us that we only had 45 minutes when we walked in (kids everywhere and the door was held open for us). As we’re getting ushered out of the restaurant, the manager offers dessert to another table. The first time we tried the restaurant, when they first opened, we were forgotten about for an hour before they took our order. Tried again in February (months later) messed up our to go order and told us WE were wrong, and then lastly tonight. Your servers are doing everything to hold the place together, but...
Read moreDisappointed in the Recent Changes I’m not sure what’s changed in the past month or so, but unfortunately, it hasn’t been for the better.
This used to be one of our favorite local spots. The handmade pizzas were excellent, and the pastas always tasted fresh. We appreciated having a locally owned Italian restaurant that clearly took pride in its food. But today’s experience was a real letdown.
We ordered a personal pizza and shrimp Alfredo. The pizza used to be made with fresh, handmade dough, but what came out today was clearly a frozen, store-bought crust. The shrimp in the Alfredo were no longer the big, quality shrimp we were used to—they were tiny—and the pasta was so overcooked it was mushy.
As soon as we saw the new updated menu, we were a little suspicious, and sadly, our instincts were right. We won’t be returning.
Please take pride in what you serve. If you’re going to run a restaurant, the effort and quality have to be there—otherwise,...
