Hog's Haus Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Weldon Spring

Service is abysmal! Called in order of wings to go 12/19/2015 at 6:28pm. The person who took the order said 20-25 minutes. I arrived at 6:43, a little early. Told the lady behind the bar I had called in an order to go. She said it would be up in just a little bit. A few minutes later she said he was boxing them up now and she ran my credit card. More time went by and no wings. I could see the cook manning the deep fryer. He emptied the fryer basket and I thought, great, my order is up. A few more minutes went by and a waitress comes out with a bag and two styrofoam "to go" containers. I thought it was my order. At this point I had waited 30 minutes. The waitress delivered the "to go" boxes to someone else. Then the bar tender came over and said it would be just a few more minutes. During the length of time I sat waiting I saw two small orders come out from the kitchen so it's not like they were busy. At just under 40 minutes I told the bar tender I had to go and asked to be refunded. She said just 2 more minutes. I refused and asked again to be refunded. She made me feel like I was in the wrong for asking for a refund. She went to the touch screen register to issue my refund. She paused at one point as if she was confused by whatever she was looking at. She came over to me took my receipt and tore it up and walked away. I remained seated thinking she would be bringing a refund receipt. Instead she continued her conversation with her friends at the end of the bar. I asked if I get a receipt she said, "No, I tore it up in front of you." Today I look at my credit card statement and the charge is on there with no refund. Can't be sure if it was ignorance or on purpose but either way I will have to make another trip to this poorly operated business and will most likely be made to feel like a heel for my inconvenience when I try to explain...

My wife and I have dinned there multiple times, lately every week for lunch on Thursday and Friday. The specials are great. The food in general is great. A fair menu variety. One of my favorites is their (his) Lasagna. It is the best Lasagna I have eaten “out” in years. I think this it would stand up to the best Italian restaurants. Their Lasagna would beat the majority of Italian restaurants. There are specials every week day. I highly recommend Hog's Haus Sports Bar & Grill for good quality food, large portions and excellent price. The service is good and the servers are friendly. When they are busy you may have to wait a little longer then you might want. The food quality is always first class and consistent. If you are into atmosphere, keep in mind the restaurant’s name. The place is clean and so are the restrooms. It might not be a family restaurant per say but I never hesitated to bring my grandsons (3 and 4). There are high chairs and booster seats. I have a three strikes and you’re out system for restaurants. Hog's Haus has never gotten strike one....

We found this place on Google maps and we were very close. Got a bit hesitant when we pulled up at 12:15 on a sunny Saturday - there appeared to be maybe 2 cars out front. I was worried they were either closed or we had made a bad decision. Turns out folks were likely at places with patios - their loss.

We grabbed a seat and the bartender was also our waitress. Even running double duty she kept checking on us and made sure our drinks stayed full.

We ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and a mushroom and Swiss burger. Chips on the side of one and tots on the side of the other.
