Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Wellington

Everything we ordered was above reproach in every respect. I had a BBQ grilled chicken sandwich that was both stacked with an excellent choice of condiments and very flavorful. The chicken poppyseed salads we're generous and really well-prepared. They also came with a 6-oz container of cottage cheese that is as good as any I have ever tasted; fresh and firm and zero artificial aftertaste. 2. And hereby hangs a tale. I ordered, to go, two more of the chicken salads because of all the comments at the table of how generous and well prepared they were. I then watched a young man, rather tall, prepare these excellent salads with his uncovered hair over top of the food prep area. I asked him why he did not wear a head cover and was told corporate policy allowed this as long as his hair did not extend below the collar of a shirt. In talking to a manager I discovered this is an actual policy. Again, the food was above reproach but institutional food prep hygiene practically and clearly says you don't allow head hair to fall into the food. I don't ever want to receive anything that requires a haircut. Whether Braum's will take my verbal comment or this review seriously remains to be seen. Great place, bad food...

Really nothing to write home about. The ice cream was “OK”, from what the kids told me, but we have had ice cream from all over the country and our taste buds are spoiled in that regard.

It was crowded as there were folks in after what appeared to be church service and it’s a small town. No deductions for that as we still found places to sit for our party of 7. Where they lose stars from me is the number of flies I saw in the restaurant and even in the ice cream cooler areas. Granted, it’s Summer and the flies want to escape from the heat, this store needs to mitigate that through known, tried and true means. It made me lose my appetite, although the kids didn’t seem to mind. The other star I deducted is from what I call cross-flavor contamination. I know sometimes flavors spill into other bins based on the scoop method and etc. However, this was the worst cross-flavor contamination I have ever witnessed. Purples and blues in vanilla bean and chocolate chip cookie dough, and it was just a mess in those bins. Other places I’ve gone to will get those pieces out and ensure the flavors remain pure. This location just needs to fix those few things and it would be 4 stars, no problem. The staff...

Pleasant experience at Wellington Braum’s store, today! Employees were buzzing around the kitchen and counters, working cooperatively and efficiently, as customers were served from the counter, as well as the drive through window. The grocery staff was also efficiently serving customers and observant of his surroundings, ready to assist. The dining area was clean and free of clutter. When I informed the front counter staff that they were doing a great job, they said that they appreciated hearing that. The ice cream orders were all delicious and well prepared. I felt comfortable eating inside the store, where social distancing was observed. Tables were clean, too! The coffee was a bit cooled down, but was actually very good.
