Barn on the Bay Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Wells Township

Today was my first time stopping by this little gem! Upon arriving, there was a gentleman mowing grass, and shortly after entering, he followed. He washed his hands (yes, I paid attention). The hubby and I didn't know what we wanted. There were so many options, and they all looked delicious, so we let the couple who came in after us go first. The gentleman (the owner, I'm assuming) was very patient with us while we made our final decision on what to get and gave our order. I opted for a banana split, but with just vanilla ice cream (as opposed to a scoop of vanilla, chocolate & strawberry). The hubby opted for a regular cone with blue moon ice cream, and we also got a regular cone with vanilla ice cream for my mom. While waiting for our order, I looked around. It was very clean, there's an area to sit and enjoy your ice cream inside and there's an area out back with a gorgeous view! The ice cream was phenomenal. So many flavors to choose from and the ones we've tried are delicious. However the customer service was meh. The girl and the man behind the counter were not very friendly. I came with my girlfriend and we have three kids each. Now I know dealing with children isn't all that easy since they can never choose what they want right away but given you work at an establishment where seventy percent of your customers are children, you could at least put a smile on your face. Looked like a cute place to stop for ice cream until I walked in and saw the employee doing some type of paperwork but not behind the counter(which is okay) but was reluctant to help us. I asked about a milkshake(sign said coming soon) she replied "no we don't have them and we will probably never have them" which I replied "Your sign says coming soon". She said they were waiting on a part for over year(for the milkshake machine). We asked why not get a different machine. (Would a blender not work?)
