Joker's 5 Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Bend

We stopped into Joker’s 5 for lunch after spotting it the night we arrived in town, and what a fantastic find. The moment we walked in, we knew we’d found the right place — a nice guest helped guide us in, and the bar was completely full of happy locals having a great time. What a warm, welcoming first impression!

We grabbed the two seat table in the back near the pool table and dart boards. My friend was craving a burger, but is very particular about how they’re cooked. After a quick Q&A with the super friendly bartender, we went with the double bacon cheeseburger with curly fries, deep-fried green beans, white cheddar garlic nuggets, and a couple of drinks.

The drinks were spot-on, the service was fast, and the food came out piping hot. Those garlic cheese curds? Absolutely out of this world — leave it to Wisconsin to keep raising the bar on cheese perfection!

My friend took one bite of that burger and looked ready to propose… to the burger itself. It disappeared so fast we actually ordered a second one to go.

Joker’s 5 is everything you want in a local hangout — great food, friendly people, a little gaming, pool, darts, and a laid-back atmosphere where you can just relax and enjoy yourself. I would definitely visit this spot again if I make it back out...

Stopped in for a drink late on a Saturday evening. The bartender served me a drink, I had a sip and used the rest room. When I came out the bartender had thrown out my drink and Took my money. I asked what happened to my drink. He was drunk and said he didn't know. I mentioned he dumped it out. So he served me a new one. I said thanks. Then i asked what happened to my change. Mind you the girl next to me backed up my story. He got my money back threw it on the bar and turned away then Immediately turned back around grabbed my drink and started calling me names and said never come back. I was never rude to him in any way. I was being polite. And yes it was my first drink of the night. I was not drinking.I found out the bartenders name Is Kevin. He's bald and has a beard. Was not impressed at all by this place, the food quality tasted and appeared as if it were from those prepackaged boxes you get from grocery stores. The jalapeno poppers breading was very bland and flavorless, also was mushy like it was microwaved. The burger was good the first few bites but got old very quick. The curly fries were very good though.

I felt bad for the bartender because she was behind the bar, taking orders, and was cooking as well. Not a smart way to run a place especially since it was busy. If I had to go back, it would be only for drinks. They were cheap and they have the usual beers like Miller and Spotted Cow.

Would I go back? No. Maybe in the future to see if they improved but it won't be...
