Yangtze Inn — Restaurant in West Bridgewater

I have had some pretty awful chinese food in my life, but this one by far takes the cake. The service was basically non-existent (In fact, I overheard the servers complaining about not being paid for the month, so I don't blame them at all so much as I blame poor management). Do not even bother with the buffet on the weekends. $12 a person, $2.50 for a drink, and no refills. Every. Single. Thing. on the buffet was dried out. The only decent things were the crab rangoon and the spring rolls. The rice had sat so long that it was crunchy. The Chicken had no flavor. I couldn't even tell the breaded ones apart. The items in sauce were just not good. The Kung pao chicken was okay. There was some weird chicken with sauce made from canned cherries (the kind in heavy syrup) and pineapple, it was definitely the worst thing in the place. First time trying this place as it was close to work ordered a lunch combo with beef teriyaki and chicken and broccoli with white rice. The beef teriyaki was really good. However the chicken and broccoli was in this clear looking sauce that basically looked like a light gelatinous film covering the chicken and broccoli. Despite the appearance I tasted the food. Unfortunately the taste and texture was unbearable for me. I showed my waiter (after I got his attention as he was watching tv ) and he got very loud with me and essentially forced me to pay for my food that I basically only ate 2 beef teriyaki skewers. So essentially i paid $18.20 for 2 beef teriyaki ....won't be coming back here or recommending this place to anyone. It's unfortunate my coworkers and I were looking for good Chinese food in the area and so far we found bad food and bad service....

We wanted to try this place out since we are semi new to the area. Definitely regret not looking at reviews before we went. We got there, waited for the host to acknowledge us, were seated in a part of the restaurant that was colder than the bar area, and nobody even came to our table for 20 minutes and left without being served. Everyone in there looked at us like we didn't belong, it was just an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.
