I took my 1 year old granddaughter to Good Days this past Saturday. I cannot tell you how impressed I was. The parking lot was jammed at 8 AM so I figured we’d be waiting a long while. NOPE! We were seated right away by friendly greeters, passing many smiling waitstaff. The other customers looked towards us to give us smiles, nods and “welcomes.” I felt so great to be in a place where the community gathers and takes the time to wink, smile, nod or say hello. The service by Sarah was top notch. She was attentive to my granddaughter, offering whatever she could think of to make our experience a better one. Little things but they all added up. In fact, many waitstaff and customers looked over at us to make sure we were well taken care of. The food. Ohhh, the food. We ordered the Triple Play pancakes with chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, 3 strips of bacon and 3 sausage links with endless coffee and let me tell you, it was endless. And it was delivered quickly, at the right temp, and tasty. All that for under $20. Unheard of today. I mentioned the parking lot and place were jammed right? With all the customers there on a Saturday morning, Sarah and the others made it seem so simple and a pleasure to do her job. I was very impressed with everything from driving into the parking lot to driving out of the parking lot. With a full belly and a very happy granddaughter who ate like a queen housing down those really large pancakes and light and fluffy scrambled eggs. We will be going back again real soon. Can’t wait to be considered a regular with my sweet little...
Read moreOrdered the Turkey dinner. Although the taste and quality of the food was good, from the low moisture in the meat, it was very apparent it was reheated from a turkey cooked several days ago. The turkey portion was rather small, consisting of two small slices of breast and some very dry, if not "very firm" dark meat scraps, hidden underneath. The gravy was warmed over and went to room temperature within a few minutes, and was applied very sparingly, none of it allocated to the nearby mash potatoes. The broccoli was slightly steamed and left out to dry for several hours with no butter or oil to recuperate it. Basically the plate looked like leftovers.
One of the owners was continuously talking for more than 20 minutes, conducting an employment interview in the center of the restaurant, which was fairly disruptive. Apparently the young lady was told to wait at this central table for her interview, I, having seen her wait it out the good part of 15 minutes before the interviewer arrived.
Our waitress went through the proper motions, but was quick to execute them in a reserved fashion and move on.
The "fifties" theme the restaurant wants to portray is evident in the wall artifacts and background music, but the facility itself falls short of capturing that fifties feel , with 1970's style table, chairs and wall paneling. There are many opportunities available to the owners to make the place look like the fifties, I hope someday they will...
Read moreMy group of 7 visited there on May 31, 2024 to celebrate prior to our daughter's HS graduation. First thing we all noticed was it was filled with seniors. They sat us in a separate room, which I thought was odd, but ok. But I felt it was more racially motivated. Regardless, the food was a disappointment! My daughters French toast was burnt, my other daughters chicken tenders was dry and crispy and my 3rd daughters coconut chicken tenders were burnt as well. The French fries had an odd taste, which is familiar to old or unclean oil (family members are in the restaurant business as well) Everyone was complaining of an offsetting odor. My son-in-law was sick from the smell that he was unable to eat, so he didn't order anything. My spouse and I ordered the same meal and it was more bread than meat! I spent $130 and beyond upset with poor quality food with an old outdated atmosphere. I did request 2 boxes but only used one as nobody wanted to take anything back home. I gave the leftovers to my dogs and chickens. I personally would never recommend this place. Not worth the money and I know none of us will...
