Full Moon House — Restaurant in West City

We were driving through Illinois and both craving a good Chinese restaurant when we stumbled upon Full Moon. Some restaurants near the interstate can be iffy, but the place looked welcoming, so we gave it a shot. All of the staff was so friendly and welcoming, as well as efficient, especially our waitress! We both went for the dinner special which includes an egg roll, crab ragoon and spare rib (though they were out of the rib so I got an extra ragoon, which I preferred anyway); choice of wonton, egg drop or hot & sour soup; and an entree item with fried rice....all for $10.95!!! I got mine with hot & sour soup and cashew chicken. The soup had a nice sweetness to accompany the sour and wasn't too spicy. Probably my second favorite version of hot & sour that I've ever tried (and I've tried a lot!). The chicken was a nice balance of everything and very fresh. I loved it! My boyfriend had the wonton soup and szechwan chicken. His soup was also yummy and the chicken had fresh vegetables all through out it and wasn't too spicy. He gave an extra shout out to the egg roll! As our waitress helped us box up the leftovers (because now we have enough for a complete meal tomorrow night), we were sad that this place wasn't closer to home for us! February 14th 2020 Valentine's day Al and I went to Full Moon House Chinese restaurant for our Valentine's dinner. We walked in there was not one table empty there was one little table with chairs in the hallway they offered us to sit there till they had a free table. There was a couple there from that area that talked to us that was very friendly and nice even offered us some of their appetizers which I thought was very polite and kind of them considering normally that does not happen these days. Once they had a table cleaned off and ready for us we sat down we had our menu we order and the food was excellent our waitress was very excellent. In fact she adopted us as Mom and Dad. We was glad to help her with some of her personal issues before she adopted us as Mom and Dad. I still have contact with her on Facebook not all the time but once in awhile. I would recommend this place anytime for any occasion. I can't wait to return there and enjoy more delicious...

Called and ordered food to go, as we were traveling and staying at a local campground. Picked up, asked them to read my order back to me. They did. Even told me my two orders of fried rice was in one container. We get to the campground and unload our food. The container of plain fried rice is nowhere. We call. “Come back in” I can’t. We are already set up at our campground, please just refund me for what I didn’t get. “You come in today and I’ll refund it” after explaining MULTIPLE times that I couldn’t, I finally just hung up. The food was awful, the combination rice had huge chunks of fatty pork. My husband took one bite of an egg roll and put it down, saying it was gross.
