I was very excited to try this place. I should've known once we walked in that we would be in for a treat... we waited a good 30 minutes to be seated. I have no problem waiting because that's unavoidable sometimes. I witnessed an employee pulling up their pants from their hands in their pants, and then basically picked their nose... Oh, they also handled some people's food! Then the waitresses were obviously frustrated about lack of organization and speed of the kitchen.
We ordered 3 different sushis and 4 meals. We got one sushi and one person's meal 20 minutes after ordering and then the other two sushi 25 minutes later. Along goes another 20 minutes, two other meals come out. FINALLY 10 minutes after that my son's meal finally comes. I unfortunately overhead a waitress talking that someone already cashed another customers ticket out and that they can't find it and that the waitress would be required to use her own money to pay for it even though it wasn't her fault.
The food.... coconut shrimp was good. It came served on a bed of lettuce which I've never witnessed in my life. Sesame chicken... the chicken was cooked well, but flavoring honestly tasted like a Ludens cough drop. The steak hibachi had zero flavoring, had to drench it in soy sauce to even have the other person eat it.
I don't believe we will be returning there unless it is months down the road. I felt terrible for the waitresses, and ended up leaving a 30 dollar tip for her to make up her having to pay a...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would. We had a party of 4 on Friday evening around 7 pm. I will first start by saying it was not busy at this time. There were 4 tables occupied. We were immediately told they were out of rice for sushi...mind you this is a sushi restaurant. No big deal we decided to do other entrees. We sat for almost an hour before we even received our salads at which came out with our food...not before. All of our meals were cold. If we are waiting almost an hour for food it should have been hot! Our friend then found a METAL SCRUB BRUSH PIECE IN HIS FOOD! He immediately went to the counter where the girl with reddish brown hair in a braid was SO RUDE to him and proceeded to ask him "what part of your food did you find this in?" He said the part I'm eating. She honestly shouldn't be dealing with the public as her attitude is horrible. We've had her as a waitress before and she was horribly rude then as well. Another waitress comes over and apologized and said it was a part of the brush used to clean the grill between orders. She informed us that their customer base has significantly declined....well no wonder. Rude waitress and finding metal scrubbers in your food! We will not be back! If our friend got that in his throat or swallowed that he could have gotten very ill. I'm all for supporting small business but do better! Nasty food and...
Read moreHave ate here for months, many times more than once a month. Today, the food took 35 minutes (IN THE DRIVE-THRU - ordered ahead), was told "they're still working on it", more like they're just now starting it. Only passionate, as I ensured to order 20 minutes ahead, yet still waited 15 minutes past. After waiting, my Hibachi Steak that I paid $20 for was cold (supposed to be hot), my wife's sushi we paid $20 was warm (Sushi, warm? Supposed to be anything but warm). On top of this, I tipped. Really regretted my tip when I seen customers leaving dine-in, understanding that the waitress was likely checking them out, instead of grabbing our food and bagging it, and simply giving it to us; An act that takes 30 seconds.
Will definitely slow down on eating here, as it became an occasion, but will cease. They're usually good at all of this, but not sure what happened today. Had this happen 2 months ago, but gave it the cold-shoulder, but now I understand the volatility of being busy and only staffing a waitress or two. 3/5 on the food, as it's still good, but I shouldn't be paying $60 for 2 dishes (including undeserved tip), that don't even meet expectations. To the lady working today, hopefully you can do better next time. Especially in a drive thru that sits empty, and a parking lot...
