Ryann is a Star!!!! And Quentin Tavern Has got it Going On!!!!
(If You’re sitting there trying to decide where to Go, or where You’ll have the Best Meal, Go to Quentin! You’ll Be so Happy You Did! ….Every Single Time!)
Tonight, We had the Best Meal Here! As A Very well known Award-Winning chef in the Area, I can tell You It’s a rare occasion to have everything, and I do Mean EVERYTHING Come Out Better than Perfect like it did Here, Tonight, So, if You’re going through reviews trying to decide where to go, Choose Here EVERY Single time! If You’d like an extra special added treat, Ask for Ryan (Pronounced Ryan) She’s The Most Fabulous Fun, and Sassy Server! It’s not often You get someone as Lively and Attentive as this, Whoever Hired Her, Pat Yourselves on the back, And Give this Young lady every opportunity for promotion within Your company and as Bright of a Future as You possibly can, Because Servers like this aren’t easy to come by, We’ll be sure to ask for Her every time, The Portions are Huge! The Baked Haddock and Fried Fish and Chips we saw are nuts they’re so big! The Burger I had was Above and beyond anything I’ve ever had elsewhere, Please tell the chef they should be very proud of themselves because unless they’re cooking burgers with an internal probe thermometer, I don’t know that I’ve ever had a more perfect Medium Burger, that thing was made like an art form! ….Pink, Juicy on the inside, warm, not cool, rested, Not ridiculously speared with a knife coming out of it like some Awful restaurants, It was Solid! That bacon sauce should be it’s own Appetizer, serve it with chips or nachos and I’m telling You, that’s the single best Appetizer you didn’t even know you had waiting to happen! I would make that and sell it in a bowl like “Chef Dan’s Bacon Queso” all day Long! If it were at My Restaurant! The food is solid, the restaurant is super clean and energetic, the servers are Super, even the girl at the door was a super polite first face that set the pace of a happy evening from the moment we arrived! Thanks Naveah, Ryann was the best of the best, like that really really rare top one percent of a server you could ever hope to have as a business owner, or receive as a customer, the food is Truly all Top Notch, Weather you’re in the mood for Bar food, or a satisfying entree, We’ve been coming Here for years and years and I have to tell you this was the single best experience we’ve ever had there, Oddly enough, today I had that once in every ten year hankering for Onion Rings and we went there because the pictures of them online in the reviews looked the best and oh they were!!!! I can tell You they are the single best onion rings I’ve ever had! The only thing if I could make one suggestion besides making the bacon cheese sauce a dip on the appetizer menu, it would be to have your chef develop a black bean burger, I saw you had a premade veggie burger but I imagine a fresh in house black bean burger by a chef as talented as you have there would be a much Healthier favorite for the Black Bean Burger Lovers and Healthier eaters out there like me!
Job well done Quentin, Ryann, And everyone else there from the front of the house to the back, You’ve done a memorable job, a remarkable job, through and through and you should All be very proud of Yourselves, If You’re a potential customer out there reading this, trust me, Don’t walk, Run! ….Go!
(By the way, if you’ve never had them there before, The fish and chips are the best around, You won’t find any better anywhere else, They were my “old favorite” I would get every single time, Now I’ll have to alternate with this burger and onion rings as a substitute to alternate with every other time!)

Read moreNever really had an issue before. Frequented many times. Went for the "shrimp event" last evening. We got peel and eat shrimp appetizer. The shrimp had something on them, not sure what, but generally speaking they were mushy. And for $13.99, would have hoped to get at least a 1/2 pound, there were about 6, maybe 8 small ones. I ordered the shrimp tacos with sweet chili sauce. It was 3 tortillas flat on the plate, with what seemed like a spoon of pineapple salsa, and 3 shrimp, and drizzle the sweet chili sauce. I like sweet chili sauce but that sauce was so spicy I had trouble eating it, and honestly the presentation looked like it was just slapped on the plate and out it went. My husband got the shrimp pasta, came with side salad. The pasta dish looked great, appetizing. After switching entrees (because I couldn't eat the tacos), it didn't get better. The pasta was even more spicy. Even my husband agreed it all was spicy, and he likes spicy/hot food. When we put our order in, the peel and eat shrimp came out immediately...which in this case, I don't think was a good thing. Considering it was mushy, etc. It didn't seem fresh at all... which is what concerned me when it came out so fast. Our entrees came out really quick, but if you saw the tacos, there was no prep there...the pasta, yes, but the entrees came out really fast, too. I know... why would someone complain about fast service... I'm/we're not complaining people, honestly. We've had great meals there, many times. In addition, my husband's beer was luke warm, small detail, too. I had a cocktail, I think called a QT Cooler, that was really good. We paid about $75 for our dinner. Spiciness, and tolerance of it, is a preference, I get it. Some people are ok with different levels, I understand that. So my experience is my experience and what we had, someone could have felt it was great. We didn't. The level of spice was not something that should have been set for everyone. And there were only 2 other options...a jerk shrimp (which would have also been spicy), and fried coconut shrimp and fries platter. The server asked how the pasta was at one point. I said, good, but honestly it is just way too spicy (and I never say anything other than 'good' if a server ever asks this, I don't want to complain honestly). Her reply... "oh, good, I like it spicy. I was thinking of getting that later". It just wasn't a good experience. Enough so that I felt I wanted to say something. New cook? I know ownership changed a while ago... short on help? No idea. We just left, and when we got in the car we both said, "that was really bad". Sorry, QT. Just...

From the east, the QT is an easy, lovely ride on 419 through Cornwall. The restaurant exists in a beautiful, historic mansion, right up this architecture appreciative girl's alley. The parking is ample, though was surprisingly pretty full on a Thursday night at 6pm. There are several options for seating; a side dining room, back dining room, and deck. The deck looked absolutely beautiful, with large trees and a lovely country backdrop. Because of the heat, we sat at the back dining room near the turret-shaped window area, amazing huge pocket doors, "deep" shoe mouldings, and what appeared to be original flooring. Once seated, our server; Candace, greeted us. Ok. So, I have to stop here for a moment. The Quentin Tavern clearly understands the value of great customer service to elevate a dining experience, and had to have had that in mind when hiring Candace. She was EXCEPTIONAL-knowledgeable, quick to explain but not pushy, served with care, and was attentive without being intrusive. Her laugh was so infectious and warm! My companions ordered the cheese curds, chicken parmigiana, and crab quesadillas. I ordered the salmon. It was nice that we could switch out the sides listed with our entrees for optional sides on the menu. I had a baked potato with the house mixed vegetables to accompany my salmon. My two companions had the onion rings, and side salad. The cheese curds were delicious. The salmon was very good, the vegetable mix was tasty and fresh. The potato was large. The side salad was also large, as was the chicken parmigiana. Both friends really enjoyed their entrees. I sampled the onion rings that my one companion ordered. They came with an unusual and quite tasty dipping sauce. Its surprising how many restaurants serve onion rings that are awful. These were just the opposite, outstanding! Every choice was superb. On a weird side note, my one companion was impressed by the heft of the silverware! Ha! We will definitely...
